Maryjane R. of Saint Joseph, MN had water leaking into her basement, making her worry about water damage. She google searched "basement waterproofing" and came across American Waterworks. After looking through our basement waterproofing repair products, she called our office line and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Dylan Woitas. Dylan went to her home, inspected her basement and water leaks, and came up with a solution that worked best for her and her budget. Our Foreman, Corey Tollefson, and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter with a jackhammer, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System, which is an interior underground drainage system that prevents water clogs, collects water seepage from basement walls, and collaborates with the sump pump to pump water out efficiently. Next, our team installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System which is the best sump pump that we provide for homeowners, it solves all three water problems in one system, and it provides three layers of protection. To complete the project, our team covered the open gaps with river rock and applied new concrete. Maryjane was happy with the work and had a good experience with our team! 

Tharese W. of Saint Joseph, MN had a bowing foundation wall and damp floors throughout her entire garage. She called American Waterworks to schedule a FREE Estimate to get it thoroughly diagnosed and inspected. Jared Bruns, one of our Design Specialists, went to Tharese's home, thoroughly examined the foundation wall and garage leaks, and proposed a couple of solutions that would work for her and her budget. Tharese narrowed the solutions down and chose the one that best suited her and her home repair needs. She signed Jared's proposal, wrote out a deposit check, and scheduled a date for the installation. 

Our Foreman, Matt Zeller, and his production team started the project by introducing themselves to Tharese and ensuring all of her questions were answered. After a thorough introduction, our team got to work and broke out the concrete floor perimeter of the garage, forming a waterway trench. Our team installed 110 feet of our WaterGuard Drainage System in the trench, which is made to transport water easier, prevent mud clogs, collect leakage from basement walls, and serve as an underground drain that eventually leads to outside of the home. Next, our team installed 105 feet of our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier around the entire wall perimeter. Our CleanSpace is made to prevent mold and humidity, give the space a neat and clean appearance, and provide the basement with extra protection. Lastly, our team installed six of our foundation repair wall anchors from the outside the foundation to inside the foundation, which stabilizes the foundation wall by anchoring the walls to the soil. Each anchor is connected by a steel rod to a wall plate that provides pressure against the inside of the wall. To complete the installation, our crew backfilled the soil from the anchor installation, and covered the open waterproofing gaps with pea gravel, followed by a new application of concrete. The job site looked much cleaner than when they found it, and Tharese was thrilled with the completion of the project!

Our Foreman and his crew began the installation by putting block wood over the cracked foundation and inserting five long, metal rods into the wall and tightening and screwing a wall anchor to each rod. This system stabilizes the foundation wall by anchoring the wall to the hard-packed soil beyond the foundation. After the installation, the wall anchors can be tightened over time to further straighten the wall and pull it back to its original position.
