Ben went to his home to inspect his concrete and come up with a solution. After a thorough inspection, Robert decided to follow through with the project.

A homeowner in Stacy, MN, noticed a slight gap between their sidewalk and concrete steps. Knowing this situation would only worsen, the homeowner wanted to find a permanent solution. The homeowner began looking through multiple concrete lifting services throughout their area. During their search, the homeowner stumbled upon American Waterworks' past work. Once the appointment was set, we sent our Design Specialist, Romeo, to take a look at the status of the sidewalk. Upon arrival, Romeo noticed several cracks throughout the sidewalk. Following his evaluation, Romeo came up with a possible solution for the homeowners. The homeowners agreed with one of Romeo's solutions and a crew was assigned to complete the project. Our Foreman, Dylon, and his crew arrived at the home to begin lifting the concrete. The crew utilized the PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam injection solution, to lift the sunken sidewalk. Additionally, the homeowner decided to lift the concrete on the back patio. Once the affected concrete was lifted, the crew filled the many cracks and filled the joints with the NexusPro Joint Sealant. Dylon and his crew completed the project and cleaned up the job site. To stop the settlement from continuing, Kyle suggested lifting the sidewalk with PolyLevel, our polyurethane foam injection solution. Knowing this was their best option, the homeowner agreed. The plans were then sent to the office for approval, and then to our Foreman, Sam. Once Sam received the plan and arrived at the home, he began by lifting the sidewalk. Once the sidewalk was lifted, the crew cleaned up their materials and let the home. The homeowner was pleased with the excellent work completed by the crew. A homeowner from Stacy, MN, contacted us when he noticed that the concrete walkway in front of his home was sinking more as the year passed. Wanting to understand the severity of the situation, he decided to call American Waterworks to see what could be done. The homeowner set up his FREE estimate, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Daniel, headed out to the home. 

After Daniel completed his inspection, he met with the homeowner to discuss his findings. He reassured the homeowner that the problem wasn't severe but that uneven concrete could create dangerous trip hazards and even affect the resale of the home in the future. Daniel went on to say that fixing the issue was simple. Daniel wanted to use our  PolyLevel solution to fix the slab. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that expands when it's injected below slabs. Daniel finished by saying that once the lifting was complete, our team would install our NexusPro along all the cracks and joints in the slab to protect the foam beneath from the elements. The homeowner agreed and the work was scheduled to be completed. 

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Sam, got right to work, and once the job had been completed, our customer was thrilled to know he no longer had to worry about sinking concrete! 

Barbara B in Eyota, MN learned about the dangers of radon gas. She had not yet had her home tested and once she learned that radon causes 15% of the world's lung cancer cases and kills over 20,000 people each year, she wanted to get her home tested right away.

She contacted American Waterworks and we sent our Design Specialist, Dustin Loftus, to her home to set up a radon test kit. The results showed that she did have high levels of radon and we recommended that we install a radon mitigation system to ensure that the majority of the radon entering her home would be sucked through a PVC pipe and discharged from her home. 

Our crew drilled a hole through the floor in the basement to insert a PVC pipe and create a suction point for the radon gas. Then the gas is vented through the pipe and out of the home. A fan is also installed at the top of the PVC pipe where the gas is vented out to ensure that the gas is pushed away from the home. Barbara now has peace of mind knowing that her family is protected from this dangerous gas.
