A homeowner in Millville, MN, recently saw an article discussing the dangers of radon. Worried about the levels in their home, the homeowner started looking into "radon mitigation near me". One of the first companies to grab their attention was us, American Waterworks. Impressed with our stellar ratings and reviews, the homeowner knew that we were the ideal company for their project. The homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate, and we sent one of our Design Specialists, Nate, to the home to take a closer look. Once Nate arrived, he began by starting a radon test. While the radon test was being completed, Nate searched for the best place for our Radon Mitigation System. Once the Radon test was completed, it showed that the levels were alarmingly high. Nate recommended installing our Radon Mitigation System, and the homeowner agreed. Next, Nate worked with the homeowner to find the best installation date. Once the date arrived, Dakota, our Radon Foreman, traveled to the home to begin the installation. After they arrived, Dakota and his crew secured the Radon Mitigation System along the north wall. Once the Radon Mitigation System was secured, Dakota and his crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. Jonathan P. in River Falls, WI had bowing walls in his basement. He was concerned about the pressure this was putting on his foundation, and he wanted to have his walls repaired before the problem got any worse.He started looking into foundation repair options and he came across the American Waterworks website. He contacted us for a FREE estimate, so we sent a Design Specialist to his home to inspect his foundation and provide him with a solution. We recommended installing PowerBraces along the shifting foundation to halt any further movement and start to move the foundation back into place. Jonathan felt that our plan was the most efficient, durable, and cost-effective option, so he chose to move forward with the installation.

Our production team started the installation by securing brackets into the floor as well as the rim joists. Then, they installed the PowerBraces into the brackets and tightened them as far as they could go. PowerBraces do not require outside excavation so it is less invasive than other foundation repair options. The installation took a day to complete, but now Jonathan’s foundation is permanently restored, and he no longer is concerned about the stability of his walls.

Kathy W. of River Falls, WI had water leaking from her windows into her basement, and she wanted to get it fixed up before she began the moving stage. A realtor referred American Waterworks to her for our basement waterproofing repair products. She called our office line and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Mac Cole. Mac went to her home, inspected her basement and windows, and drew out a detailed plan that Kathy could understand. She was confident in Mac's proposal, so she went ahead with the project. 

Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his production team began the process by cutting out the pre-existing window and replacing it with our EverLast Basement Window. These special windows are energy-efficient, vinyl-framed, and double-paneled and are made to replace outdated wood-framed windows. Next, our crew broke out the concrete floor perimeter with a jackhammer, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System, which is made to prevent water clogs, serve as an underground drain, and collect water seepage from basement walls. Lastly, our team installed our CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier around the wall perimeter, which is made to prevent mold or humidity build-up and cover any holes or divots in the wall. To complete the project, Juan and his crew covered the open gaps with rock, flattened them out, and replaced the concrete. Kathy was and still is a satisfied customer!
