Uneven Driveway Gets Leveled in Eau Claire, WI

An Eau Claire, WI, homeowner was preparing his home for its eventual sale. Part of his "to-do" checklist was correcting his uneven driveway. Several of the slabs had sunken over the years, creating trip hazards. He knew that uneven concrete could lower the resale value of the home, so he decided to search for a MN concrete repair company. Eventually, he found our website and claimed his FREE estimate, and several weeks later, our Design Specialist headed out to the home.

Upon completion of his inspection, our Design Specialist met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. He informed the homeowner that we could address the issue using our PolyLevel. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that expands when it's injected below uneven concrete slabs. It works to fill the voids left by soil erosion, and in the process, it slowly lifts the uneven slabs back to their desired location. Our Design Specialist was also recommending our NexusPro sealant. This silicone-based product gets installed after the lift is completed, and gets applied to the cracks and joints in the concrete to prevent water from penetrating the slab and getting to the vulnerable soil below. The homeowner liked the non-invasive plan and scheduled the lift to be completed several weeks later.

On the day of the project, our Foreman, Sam, and his team completed the lift and level with no complications. Now, our customer can confidently resell his home knowing his driveway is in tip-top shape!

Egress Window Well Replaced in Eau Claire, MN

A property from Eau Claire, MN, had a rental property she needed an upgrade on. One of the lower-level rooms was to be used as a bedroom, but it was not up to code. Wanting to upgrade, the property owner began to search for how to replace basement egress wells online. When she found our website, she signed up for a FREE estimate, and several weeks later, Chuck H, one of our Design Specialists headed out to the home.

Chuck got right to work surveying the home and old window well. When he finished, he was ready to deliver his recommendations. Chuck recommended the installation of our RockWell window well. RockWell offers an attractive alternative to ugly window wells, while providing a safe, code-compliant basement egress. Click the arrows below to learn more about the features and benefits of our egress window wells. RockWell window wells are a one-piece, rigid construction that will not collapse from backfill or allow water to leak through the well walls. They’re UV stable, rust and rot proof, and stand up to extreme temperatures. Our egress window wells meet the IRC Egress Code Requirements, providing you and your family with a direct escape from any of the inhabited rooms in your basement. RockWell’s egress window wells feature durable, built-in steps that make it easy for your family to escape from your basement in the event of an emergency. We also offer safety ladders for our Premier series window wells. A polycarbonate safety cover keeps leaves and debris out while allowing natural sunlight and fresh outside air to enter your basement. While they are not intended for continual foot traffic, the 10mm fluted polycarbonate cover will hold up to 500 lbs. of weight and prevent family members from accidentally falling into the window well. The homeowner liked the look and safety of our window well, and schedule the installation for several weeks later.

On the day of the project, our Foreman, Gabriel, and his team were able to install the window well in no time. Now, our customer can rent out her property with confidence that the home is up to code!

Damp Crawl Space Saved in Eau Claire, WI

A homeowner from Eau Claire, WI, was walking across her main level one day when she noticed that a portion of the floor was much colder than the rest. It occurred to her that this cold space was directly above the crawl space of the home. She began to scour the internet for local crawl space repair companies and crawl space technicians in the area and quickly found our website. She was impressed with our previous crawl space liner installation photos and decided to schedule her FREE estimate. Several weeks later, one of our Design Specialist, Chuck H, was headed out to the home.

When Chuck arrived, he wasted no time getting down into the crawl space to see what could be causing the problem. When he was finished with his inspection, he met with the homeowners to discuss his findings and the next steps in the process. Chuck first wanted to address the energy inefficiency of the space, stating that crawl space insulation is of the utmost importance, as many comfort and energy problems are caused by inadequate or incorrect crawl space insulation. Chuck's first recommendation, TerraBlockwas developed to meet the challenge of insulating rough, uneven crawl space floors, and can be combined with other products to maximize the space's efficiency. Second, Chuck wanted to use our  Foamax wall panels. Foamax is a polyisocyanurate foam insulation panel with a white foil finish on the front and a foil vapor barrier on the back. Insulating your basement walls with Foamax provides comfort and energy bill savings while making your walls look clean and bright. Foamax is an advanced foam insulation panel that reduces condensation for exceptional moisture protection. Then,  Chuck informed the homeowner that he found significant evidence of water intrusion in the crawl space. He explained that this could lead to mold, mildew, wood rot, and a plethora of other airborne allergens. For this reason, Chuck went on and recommended our CleanSpace vapor barrier, a 100% waterproof tarp-like material that gets installed directly to the walls of the crawl space and works to collect water entering through cracks and holes in the foundation downward and keeping it off the floor. To complement this product, Chuck wanted to use our drainage matting, a dimpled mat that goes down on the crawl space floor before the CleanSpace, providing entering the water a channel to flow to the appropriate disposal site. The homeowner was thrilled with Chuck's comprehensive approach to the problem and signed on the spot.

The project day rolled around several weeks later. Our Foreman, Jesus R, was able to lead his team through a flawlessly executed installation of  1372sqft of CleanSpace, 1170 sqft of drainage matting, 1170 sqft of TerraBlock, and another 600 sqft of Foamax. Now, our customer can walk across a nice warm floor with the confidence that her crawl space is properly sealed and saving her money!

Failing Sump Pump Saved in Eau Claire, WI

During a thunderstorm, a homeowner in Eau Claire, WI, listened as his sump pump struggled to remove the water. Knowing that the Midwest weather can be unpredictable, the homeowner began looking into basement waterproofing contractors in the area and found us. After looking through our website and becoming drawn by our sump pumps, the homeowner contacted us to schedule his FREE estimate.

In about a week, our Design Specialist, Ross, arrived at the home for the inspection. During the inspection, he talked to the homeowner to get a better understanding of their concerns. The homeowner explained that he is just looking to get his current sump pump working again, but wanted to keep it within his budget. Ross understood and recommended our Zoeller M-53 1/3 HP pump, which is capable of removing 2,200 gallons of water per hour, UltraSump, our battery backup pump that can operate during power outages, and IceGuard, our anti-freeze discharge line attachment that allows water to escape in case the sump pump discharge pipes freeze. Both pumps would be installed in the homeowner's current sump pump system, replacing the current broken pumps. After looking over Ross's proposal, the homeowner happily agreed and scheduled the installation date.

In about a week, our Foreman, Lane S., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew began by taking out the old pump and replacing it with our Zoeller M-53 pump and UltraSump. Lastly, the crew installed 1 IceGuard outside of the home and connected it to the sump system. After the crew was done with the installation, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Failing Wall Stabilized in Eau Claire, WI

A property manager in Eau Claire, WI, noticed stair-step cracking along the basement of the home and was concerned for its stability. Knowing the issue would need expert attention, the manager began looking into foundation repair contractors in the area and found us. After browsing our website and becoming impressed by our reviews, the manager contacted us to schedule his FREE estimate with one of our Design Specialists.

In about a week, our Design Specialist, Dustin L., arrived at the home for the inspection. During the inspection, he took note of the cracks along the basement walls as well as some areas beginning to cave in. Dustin recommended our GeoLock. GeoLock is our wall anchor system that can permanently stabilize foundation walls. Dustin explained that Geolock is installed by first digging a hole into the hard-packed soil that is several feet away from the foundation. An earth anchor is then placed in that hole and is attached to the interior wall. Both wall plates would be connected by a small steel pole, which would run through the ground. This system prevents basement walls from continuing to move and can be tightened to straighten walls over time. The homeowner happily agreed to Dustin's recommendation and decided to move forward with the project.

In about two months, our Foreman, Luis D., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew installed a total of 11 GeoLock anchors. Once they were done with the installation, the crew cleaned up their workspace and equipment before leaving the home.

Now, our customer can have peace of mind knowing his basement issues have been properly fixed! Are you experiencing something similar? Click HERE to schedule your FREE estimate with one of our trained experts!
