Bill and Linda W. in Nelson, WI contacted American Waterworks after seeing one of our advertisements in the newspaper. Their driveway and walkway along their house had settled, creating a trip hazard. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Michel Ramirez, to meet with Bill and Linda, evaluate the situation, and propose a unique solution. After his inspection, Michel was able to recommend our PolyLevel and NexusPro products. Our Foreman, Brandon Wiskow, lifted several of the walkway and driveway sections through use of PolyLevel - a two-part, high-density polyurethane foam. Pencil-sized holes were drilled through the concrete, and foam was injected to lift the sinking slabs back to their original height. Then, he caulked and sealed the cracks with our NexusPro sealant to protect the concrete and give it a nice, finished look. Trip hazards were effectively removed, and the process avoided the unnecessary action of replacing the concrete. A homeowner in Nelson, WI, knew it was time to repair their severly cracked and separating back patio. The Design Specialist promptly arrived at the home and began inspecting the exterior concrete. During the inspection, the Design Specialist confirmed the sidewalk was suffering from settlement. To prevent the issue from worsening, the Design Specialist recommended lifting and repairing the cracks throughout the patio. The homeowner agreed and worked with the Design Specialist to find the best installation date. When the installation date arrived, our Foreman, Ryan, and his crew traveled to the home to begin. First, Ryan and his crew started by installing PolyLevel below the damaged slab. Once the PolyLevel was secured, the crew shifted to repairing the cracks and joints with NexusPro, a silicone-based solution. Jeremy from Glenwood City, WI got in touch with us when he began to notice unwanted water entering his basement. He was afraid that if left untreated, the problem would worsen and cause serious damage. When he called in we set him up with our FREE estimate and shortly after our Design Specialist, Mac, headed out to the property to see what could be done. Once he completed his walkthrough, he was able to make his recommendations as to how we could help fix the issue. Mac wanted to use three of our products to rid the space of water. First, he wanted to use our CleanSpace vapor barrier to redirect water. Mac explained that this tarp-like material gets installed directly onto basement walls and works to direct the flow of water down to his second recommendation, our WaterGuard French drainage system. He went on to say that the WaterGuard is installed below the concrete flooring and works to direct water to the appropriate location. For that location, Mac recommended a SuperSump sump pump. He explained that this effective and economic solution is engineered to help keep the basement dry and healthy for an extended period of time, even in times of heavy water intrusion, as it's capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour. Our Foreman, Raul, and his team ended up installing 78 ft of our WaterGuard drainage system, 1 SuperSump sump pump, and another 78 ft of our CleanSpace. When the job was complete our customer was happy to know he no longer had to worry about water entering his basement. 

In Glenwood City, WI, a homeowner learned that radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the US and can be found in homes. Concerned their family was unknowingly breathing in the toxic fumes, the homeowner decided to test the radon levels in their home. After a couple of days, the test results were above 4pCi/L, and the homeowner knew it was time to get a radon mitigation system installed. In about a month, our Foreman, Dakota M., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew began by installing PVC piping through the sump system. Then the fan is installed at the exterior of the home. These are then connected, and additional piping is attached from the fan to the roofline. This is installed this way so that our system can suction out the radon-rich gas and expel it above the roofline before it can enter the home. Once they were done with the installation, the crew cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Our production team started the installation by removing the old sump pump and the concrete around the perimeter of her basement where the WaterGuard drainage system needed to be laid. They installed our TripleSafe sump pump, which is our most reliable sump pump. The WaterGuard properly guides the water leaking into her basement to the sump pump. Then, they replaced the concrete over the drainage system and around the sump pump. From there, the water is pumped through the discharge line and expelled from the home.
