A homeowner in Rochester, MN, was concerned that the walkway and steps for the front of his house had become a trip hazard. Knowing the issue must be addressed, the homeowner began searching for concrete lifting in Rochester, MN, and found us. After browsing our website and becoming impressed by our before-and-after photos, the homeowner knew we were the right choice and contacted us to schedule his FREE estimate.
In less than a week, our Design Specialist, Mitch S., arrived at the home to conduct a thorough inspection. During the inspection, Mitch noticed signs of soil washout. He explained to the homeowner that soil washout is the process in which water moves through the ground and washes away the supporting soils, keeping the slabs upright. Over time, this causes voids in the soil, and the slab would begin to sink. To fix this issue, Mitch recommended installing PolyLevel, our elite foam solution that compacts the soil before lifting the slab, and NexusPro, to seal the joints along the step (not shown in picture). The homeowner happily agreed and scheduled the installation date with our Foreman.
In a couple of weeks, our Foreman, Ryan T., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew began by drilling holes into the slabs. PolyLevel is then injected, compacting the soil and lifting the slabs. Once the concrete slabs have been lifted, the crew seals of the holes before sealing the joints with NexusPro.
