In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Dylan J., arrived at the home to inspect the homeowner's concerns and to answer any questions. During his inspection, Dylan informed the homeowner that one of the common causes of settling concrete is soil washout. When it rains or floods, water moves through the ground, underneath the slabs, and washes away the supporting soils. Over time, this process creates gaps in the soil and the slabs begin to settle. For this reason, Dylan recommended our PolyLevel, a water-resistant polyurethane foam expanding formula that allows for the accurate lifting of concrete slabs. After reviewing Dylan's proposal, the homeowner happily agreed and decided to move forward with the project.
In about a week, our Foreman, Charlie C., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They began by drilling small holes into the slabs and installing the injection ports. PolyLevel is then injected into the slab, filling in the spaces in the soil causing the slab to lift. Once the slab is at the desired level, the crew seals the holes with cement. After they were done with the installation, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
