In Rochester, MN, a homeowner learned that radon is a toxic gas that can be found inside the home. Concerned that their family was breathing in the gas, the homeowner decided to test their home for radon. In a couple of days, the test results were above 4pCi/L, which is the recommended action level by the EPA. The homeowner quickly took action by scheduling their FREE estimate with us.
In less than a week, our Design Specialist, Brad W., arrived at the home for the inspection. During the inspection, Brad took a close look at the layout of the home and worked closely with the homeowner on the best placement of the radon mitigation system. Brad recommended installing our fan on the exterior of the home. Confident in our team, the homeowner decided to move forward with the project.
In about a month, our Foreman, Dakota M., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew began by drilling a small hole into the concrete flooring in the basement. Then, a PVC pipe is installed and connected to the fan at the exterior of the home. This is done this way so that our system can properly suction out the radon gas and expel it above the roofline before it can enter the home. Once the crew was done with the installation, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
