Water Intrusion Repaired in Larimore, ND

A homeowner in Larimore, ND, came across water seeping into the basement. Worried about the cause of the issue, the homeowner knew they needed to have a professional come to the home to inspect the damage. After looking into several companies, the homeowner decided to work with us, American Waterworks. The homeowner called our Appointment Center to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of Kole, one of our Design Specialists. Kole began by inspecting the area where the water was discovered. He found that the water was sneaking in from the footing of the wall and recommended that the entire corner be waterproofed. The homeowner knew this was their best option, so they agreed with Kole's suggestions. Once they earned the stamp of approval, the plans were created and sent to the assigned crew. Our Foreman, Franklin, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. Once they arrived, the crew started by digging and placing the WaterGuard channel around the perimeter of the corner. The WaterGuard is our patented below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. The crew starts by digging channels near the foundation footing. Once the channels are dug, the crew clears out the debris and places the WaterGuard. Next, the crew covers the WaterGuard with drainage stone and then finishes it with cement. After the WaterGuard was secured into place, the crew shifted their focus to installing the new SuperSump+, our economical and effective solution. The crew ties the WaterGuard into the new SuperSump+ system. Next, the crew attached the CleanSpace, a waterproof plastic vapor barrier that is ideal for unfinished basement walls. The crew installed CleanSpace by mechanically attaching them to your basement walls with plastic drilled-in fasteners, so it does not fall off. Once the CleanSpace was installed, the crew completed the project. Franklin and his crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was given peace of mind knowing their basement was properly waterproofed. If you are suffering from a similar issue, sign up for your FREE estimate today!

Driveway Restored in Bismarck, ND

A homeowner in Bismarck, ND was frustrated with his driveway and how much it had sunk and worn down during the past few years. He was wanting to make a change before the summer months rolled around when he and his family would be spending more time outside. Rather than sit on the problem another summer, he decided to take action and find a service in his area that could help him out. He came across the American Waterworks company website and was intrigued by our PolyLevel foam solution. He became even more interested when he found out about our FREE estimate offers and signed up for his own. One of our Design Specialists, Richie Noreen, arrived at the home and inspected the driveway for himself. Richie informed the homeowner that concrete replacement was not necessary for his driveway and our PolyLevel would indeed be a perfect solution to solve the problem. The homeowner was relieved to hear this and agreed to move forward with the installation process. Foreman Charlie Coleman and his crew went to the site and began the project by drilling small holes throughout the driveway. They inserted ports through the holes until they reached the empty space below the concrete surface. Next, the PolyLevel foam was injected in the ports until the space was filled and the slabs had been lifted back to their original heights. The crew installed NexusPro joint sealant to fill in the holes and the joints and sprinkled native sand on top for a smooth final look. Although they were overwhelmed at first, the homeowner eventually found peace when they discovered us, American Waterworks. Impressed by our products, the homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate. Sinking Slabs Get Fixed in Bismarck, ND

A homeowner from Bismarck, ND, was growing frustrated with sinking concrete slabs on the walkway leading up to her front door. You see, these slabs had been slowly settling and sinking over the years, creating tripping hazards. Not wanting the issue to continue to worsen, the homeowner decided to begin the search for a company that could help fix this issue. After speaking with friends and family, she decided to give American Waterworks a call. We set her up with our FREE estimate, and a few weeks later our Design Specialist, Dylan J, made his way out to the house to see what we could do to help.

Once Dylan completed his inspection, he met with the homeowner to give her his recommendations. Dylan started by saying that concrete settling and sinking is completely normal and can occur for various reasons such as excess water, excess heat, or poor soil compaction when the slab was originally poured. He went on to say that the fix was relatively simple. Dylan wanted to use our PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam that expands when injected below concrete slabs, slowly lifting them back to their original place. Dylan finished by saying that once the lift was complete, our team would install our NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant that gets applied to the cracks and joints in the concrete slab, preventing unwanted elements from getting under the slab, and potentially compromising the lift. The homeowner agreed and the work was scheduled for a few weeks later.

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Charlie, and his team arrived at the property and immediately got to work verifying the measurements that Dylan had left behind. Next, CJ got started by drilling holes into the concrete slab. Then, he pumped the PolyLevel through the holes, being sure to closely monitor the lifting process to ensure no over-correction was made. Once the lift was finished, CJ carefully applied the NexusPro. When the job was complete, our homeowner was thrilled with the look of her new concrete!

Water Damaged Basement Resolved in Bismarck, ND

A homeowner in Bismarck, ND, inspected their basement following a heavy rainstorm. To their surprise, the homeowner discovered the basement had puddles of water spread throughout. The homeowner had to take out all their belongings and gut the basement. Since they had to redo their basement anyway, the homeowner thought this was the perfect time to fully waterproof. The homeowner asked their neighbors for any recommendations and many of them suggested working with us, American Waterworks. That was enough convincing for the homeowner, so they called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of one of our Design Specialists, Ian. Ian arrived at the home and began his thorough investigation of the basement. Ian saw several spots where the water was sneaking in and knew the problem needed to be solved. After he told the homeowner of his findings, Ian recommended installing several waterproofing products in the basement. The homeowner agreed with Ian's recommendations, and the plans were passed along to the office to be finalized. The plans were approved by the office and then were sent to our Foreman, Emmanuel, to begin the project. First Emmanuel and his crew started by installing WaterGuard around the basement perimeter. The WaterGuard is a below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. The crew installs the WaterGuard by digging channels around the perimeter of the basement floor. Once the channels are dug, the crew can go ahead and place the drainage stone in the channels. The WaterGuard is then placed on top of the stone and covered with cement. Once the WaterGuard is in place, the crew could shift their focus to installing CleanSpace on the unfinished sections of the basement walls. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier that prevents humidity and mold growth. The crew installs CleanSpace by mechanically attaching them to the basement walls with plastic drilled-in fasteners. After CleanSpace was installed, the crew attached an IceGuard on the outside discharge line. An IceGuard is an anti-freeze fitting that is installed outside of the home and ejects water away from the foundation in case the sump pump freezes or becomes clogged. Once the IceGuard was installed, the crew could clean up their materials and leave the home. The homeowner was thankful to know their basement was properly waterproofed and safe from further intrusion. If you are experiencing a similar issue, sign up for your FREE estimate today!

Damaged Crawl Space Repaired in Bismarck, ND

A homeowner in Bismarck, ND, began hearing odd sounds coming from their crawl space. Unsure what was causing those noises, the homeowner decided to take a closer look. Unsure who to work with, the homeowner searched for the best company to solve their issue. After sifting through several companies around the area, the homeowner's eye was caught by our stellar reviews. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of one of our Design Specialists, Kole. Kole arrived at the home and began thoroughly investigating the crawl space. During his inspection, Kole discovered the insulation was falling due to excess moisture. To stop the issue from furthering, Kole recommended fully encapsulating the crawl space. The homeowner agreed with Kole's recommendations and the plans were passed along to our Logistics team to approve the project. After they were approved, the plans were sent to our Foreman, Roel, and his crew. Roel and his crew arrived at the home and started the crawl space encapsulation. First, Roel and his crew removed all the fallen insulation and debris from the crawl space. Once removed, the crew laid Drainage Matting on the crawl space floor. The CleanSpace Drainage Matting gives the water flooding into your crawl space a channel below your crawl space liner. One member of the crew begins by laying the drainage matting while another puts one over the top. This is a very efficient and swift installation process. After the CleanSpace Drainage Matting is installed, the crew can go in and install CleanSpace on the crawl space walls. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier that prevents humidity and mold growth. The crew installs CleanSpace by mechanically attaching them to the basement walls with plastic drilled-in fasteners. After the crawl space was fully encapsulated, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was delighted with the excellent work completed by the crew. The homeowner went visited the Better Business Bureaus website and found American Waterworks at the top of the list. Impressed with our ratings, the homeowner knew we were the best option for them. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of Ian, one of our Design Specialists, to arrive. Once Ian arrived, he began his thorough inspection of the cracked concrete floors. Ian had a suspicion that the floors were cracked to due foundation settlement. Following his inspection, Ian confirmed the floors were cracked and sinking due to the home settling into the ground. To avoid total foundation failure, Ian recommended stabilizing the home's foundation. Knowing this would solve their issue for good, the homeowner decided to go ahead with Ian's recommendations. Ian sent the plans to our Logistics team to have the plans finalized. Once the project was built, the plans were sent to our Foreman, Charlie, and his crew. Charlie and his crew received the plans, then they made their way to the home. When they arrived, Charlie and his crew began by installing 13 Push Piers along the north wall. Push Piers are rugged steel push piers that feature a patent-pending external sleeve that strengthens the pier at a critical tension point below the bracket. This is the best foundation repair option available when soil conditions are unknown and are providing a permanent solution for the settlement. The crew installed a feedline across the floor to connect the TripleSafe to the new WaterGuard. Next, the crew shifted to attaching CleanSpace to the unfinished basement walls. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier that prevents humidity and mold growth. The crew installs CleanSpace by mechanically attaching it to the basement walls with plastic drilled-in fasteners. After all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was grateful for the impeccable work completed by the crew. A week later, James arrived at the home and began the thorough inspection of the exterior and interior foundation. During their inspection, James confirmed that several areas were suffering from settlement. To prevent the settlement from continuing, the homeowner recommended installing Push Piers around the entire foundation. Knowing this was their best plan of action, the homeowner decided to sign up to go ahead with the proposal. After receiving the stamp of approval, James sent the proposal to our Logisitcs team to finalize the plans. Our Logisitcs team built and scheduled the project for a few months later. When the project date arrived, our Foreman, Kingsley, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. First, Kingsley and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. Kingsley and his crew installed 40 Push Piers. First, the crew removes soil to expose the foundation footing where the pier will be driven. Next, a heavy-duty steel bracket is installed below the footing. Then, the rugged, interlocking steel pier sections are hydraulically driven through the bracket until bedrock or stable soil is reached. The weight of the home is then transferred through the piers to the load-bearing soil. Once all the Push Piers were installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was given peace of mind knowing their basement was no longer at risk of settlement. If you are experiencing a similar issue, sign up for your FREE estimate today!

The homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate, and then we sent Dylan, one of our Design Specialists, to the home. Dylan promptly arrived at the home and began the thorough inspection of the basement. During his walk-through, Dylan confirmed that several areas were sinking and required lifting. Dylan suggested lifting the struggling areas with PolyLevel, our polyurethane foam injection solution. Knowing this was their best plan of action, the homeowner decided to go ahead with the proposal. Dylan and the homeowner worked together to schedule the best installation date. Once the date was set, our Logisitics team assigned one of our Foremen, Charlie, to the project. When the project date arrived, Charlie and his crew traveled to the home to begin. First, Charlie and his crew started by inserting PolyLevel. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam injection solution that restores the appearance and safety of the concrete. The crew started by strategically drilling small holes throughout the slab. Then, the crew inserts ports into those small holes. Next, the polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill voids and raise the slabs. Finally, the holes and control joints are sealed. Once the PolyLevel injection was finished, the crew shifted their focus to filling the cracks and replacing the joints. The crew utilized NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and withstand harsh weather conditions. The crew begins by drilling, smoothing, and preparing the non-absorbent backer rod filler. Then, the NexusPro is inserted in the prepared crack or control joint. Finally, the cracks are detailed with a thin layer of native sand, giving the concrete a uniform, finished appearance. Once all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was impressed with the excellent work completed by the crew.
