A homeowner in Chaska, MN, was concerned for his sunken sidewalk as it was a trip hazard and made his home visually unappealing so he decided to look for concrete lifting services in the area. The homeowner found our website and was impressed with our 5-star reviews and decided to contact us to schedule his FREE estimate.

In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Nate B., arrived at the home to answer any questions the homeowner had and to conduct a proper inspection of the sidewalk. During his inspection, he also noticed that the front walkway had been uneven causing gaps to form along the joints. After the inspection, Nate created a proposal recommending PolyLevel to lift the concrete and NexusPro to seal the joints. After reviewing the proposal, the homeowner happily agreed and scheduled a date for the installation.

In about a month, our Foreman, Troy J., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They began lifting the concrete by first drilling small holes into the slab and playing the injection ports. PolyLevel is then injected beneath the slab. Our PolyLevel is made of expanding properties that it waterproof, highly durable, and long-lasting making it an effective solution for sinking concrete. Once the slabs have been lifted to the desired level, the crew uses cement to seal the holes. Lastly, the crew uses NexusPro, our silicone-based sealant that provides flexibility to withstand harsh weather conditions, to seal the joints. After they were done with the project, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Now, our customer has a smooth and leveled sidewalk and walkway! Are you experiencing something similar? Click HERE and schedule your FREE estimate today!

A customer from Chaska, MN got in touch with us when he began to notice his front walkway was beginning to sink away from the home. He feared that if he didn't look into fixing the issue, he would run the risk of the slab settling further, creating a more dramatic tripping hazard. When he called in, we set him up with our FREE estimate, entitling him to a free, no-obligation estimate by a Design Specialist in our Concrete & Radon Division. Once the appointment was booked, our Design Specialist, Kyle P, headed out to the home to see what could be done. When he completed his walkthrough, Kyle recommended the use of our PolyLevel solution. He explained that this expanding polyurethane foam is meant to be injected into the concrete slab, filling the void caused by soil erosion to raise and stabilize the slab. Our customer agreed and work began shortly after.

Our Foreman, Dylon, and his crew began the process by strategically drilling holes into the concrete slab, after which filled with our PolyLevel solution. They made sure to closely monitor the lifting process so as to not over-correct the slab. When they finished, our customer was happy to know that his tripping hazard worries were in the past!

Job Stories From Chaska, MN
Avon, MN, Struggling Foundation Stabilized

A homeowner in Avon, MN, recently encountered a troubling issue: the floors in their home began to sag without a clear cause. Uneasy with the potential implications on their property’s overall stability, they reached out to us at American Waterworks for a professional evaluation and resolution. Understanding the importance of swift and effective action, our team promptly scheduled a home inspection. After the homeowner contacted our Appointment Specialist, we quickly arranged for one of our experienced Design Specialists to conduct a complete inspection. With a careful assessment, it became evident that the root of the problem lay in the foundation walls. We recommended the installation of our PowerBrace™ System, a reliable and durable solution known for stabilizing foundation walls. Our skilled production team, including a foreman and trained installers, commenced work at the property. The process involved custom-fitting zinc-plated steel beams to the basement’s height. These beams were secured using brackets anchored to both the basement floor and the first-floor framing. This strategic installation approach ensured the beams were tightly held in place, providing the necessary counterforce to the compromised walls. The execution of the PowerBrace System stabilized the walls effectively, reversing the effects of the foundation settlement with its specialized design engineered to prevent further wall movement. The homeowner appreciated our professional approach and our commitment to providing a reliable, long-term solution. Once the work was completed, the team ensured the area was thoroughly cleaned, leaving the property as spotless as before the repairs. At American Waterworks, our mission is to deliver remarkable customer experiences, and in Avon, MN, we're proud to have successfully provided a solution that ensures a stable, secure home for our client.

SmartJacks Save Crawl Space in Avon, MN

A homeowner in Avon, MN was concerned with the condition of his main floors when he began to notice them sagging. He knew this couldn't be a good sign for the strength of his home's foundation and wanted to find a professional that could inspect the area for him. He began researching companies that could help him out and came across the American Waterworks website. Our FREE no-obligation estimates were intriguing to him, and he signed up for his own with one of our Design Specialists. The homeowner was later greeted by Shane Nephew who carried out a detailed inspection of the crawl space below the sagging floors. Shane knew what the next best step was for the space and recommended our SmartJacks floor support system for the crawl space to provide support and stability to the worn-down floor beams. The homeowner was happy to hear that something could be done to fix the problem and agreed to the project plans. Our Foreman, Jeremiah Fischer, and his crew went to the site to carry out the installations and started by prepping the crawl space area. They drilled a hole and filled it with tightly compacted crushed stone to support the aluminum base for the SmartJacks. Next, they sized the steel column to fit the dimensions of the home and adjusted it to tighten in place. The crew finished by cleaning up their materials and left the home, now with a stronger support for the floors. The homeowner was pleased with the crew's hard work and glad he had contacted us for our services.

Sidewalk and Front Step Lifted in Chaska, MN

A homeowner in Chaska, MN, grew very concerned over the status of their sidewalk. Knowing this was not a do-it-yourself fix, the homeowner began looking for professional assistance. After asking a Facebook group, they noticed the same company kept getting brought up, American Waterworks. The homeowner took a closer look at all the services we offer and knew we were the company for their project. Since they were already on the website, the homeowner signed up for their FREE estimate. Soon after the estimate was set, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Dylan, to the home. Dylan began his detailed inspection of the concrete and noticed the sidewalk was suffering the most. Once he completed the detailed estimation, Dylan determined the sidewalk was sinking into the ground. Dylan recommended lifting and leveling the sidewalk and the homeowner agreed. After earning approval, our Foreman, Reese, and his crew were assigned to complete the project. Once Reese and his crew arrived, they began the PolyLevel installation. The PolyLevel is our polyurethane foam injection solution. The crew installs the PolyLevel by strategically drilling small 5/8" holes into the slab. Next, the crew installs injection ports in the small holes. Then, the polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill the voids and raise the slab. Finally, the crew sealed the holes and control joints. After the walkways were lifted, the crew shifted their focus to replacing the joints on the patio. To replace these joints, the crew used the NexusPro Joint Sealant, a silicone-based sealant. First, the crew drilled, smoothed, and prepared the cracks with a non-absorbent backer rod filler. Then, the NexusPro sealant is inserted into the prepared crack or control joint. Finally, the cracks are detailed with a thin layer of native sand, giving the concrete a uniform, finished appearance. As soon as they completed the NexusPro installation, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know their sidewalk was properly repaired.
