The Design Specialist determined that the back patio and garage concrete were beginning to sink. To stop further sinking, the Design Specialist suggested that the concrete be lifted and leveled. Not wanting to replace either slab, the homeowner decided to go with the Design Specialist's recommendations. The plans were then sent to the assigned crew and production preparations began. Our Foreman, Tyler, and his crew arrived at the home to begin repairs. First, the crew focused on lifting and leveling the concrete in the garage. To lift and level, the crew utilized the PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam injection solution. To install the PolyLevel, the crew begins by strategically drilling small holes around the concrete slab. Once the holes are drilled, the crew installs small injection ports inside. Next, the polyurethane foam is injected below the concrete to fill voids and raise the slab. Finally, the holes and control joints are sealed. The crew repeats this process underneath the back patio concrete. Once the PolyLevel is installed everywhere it needs to, the crew cleans up their site and moves on to the next project. The homeowners were delighted by the excellent work completed by the crew. Once the appointment was made, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Kevin, to diagnose the issue with the sidewalk. Following his detailed inspection, Kevin determined that the cause of the issue was the concrete sinking. Kevin proposed a solution that would solve the homeowner's issues and prevent any further sinking. The homeowners agreed to Kevin's proposal and production commenced. Our Foreman, Ryan, and his crew arrived and began by installing the PolyLevel, a polyurethane foam injection solution, to lift the sinking concrete. The crew shifted their focus to filling the joints in the concrete. To replace the joints, the crew utilized the NexusPro Sealant, a silicone-based joint sealant. The NexusPro can provide long-lasting flexibility and can stand up to harsh weather conditions. The crew installed the NexusPro by drilling, smoothing, and preparing the joint with a non-absorbent backer rod filler. Then, the NexusPro is inserted in the prepared crack or control joint. Finally, the cracks are detailed with a thin layer of native sand, giving the concrete a uniform, finished appearance. The crew finished the project and left the home. The homeowners were relieved to know their concrete was saved without being totally replaced. If you are having a similar issue, sign up for your FREE estimate today!
