One of our concrete repair experts, Brandon Wiskow, drilled small holes into the concrete slabs when the foam needed to be injected to effectively raise the slabs. He injected the PolyLevel foam until the slabs became a completely level surface. To finish the project, Brandon filled the cracks in the concrete with our Nexus Pro sealant. From start to finish, the process only took two hours. Rick was pleased that he found a quick, durable and more affordable alternative to traditional concrete repair. Our Design Specialist, Dylan, went to their home, inspected their wet basement, and proposed a solution that would fit their needs and budget. Our Foreman, Arturo, and his crew installed our WaterGuard Below Floor Drain around the entire floor perimeter, which is an interior drainage system that collects water leakage from basement walls and prevents mud clogs. A Sleepy Eye, MN, homeowner was struggling with a damp basement after heavy rainfall. Not wanting the issue to worsen, he decided to begin the search for a basement waterproofing company in Minnesota. Once he found our website, he decided to sign up for his FREE estimate, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Dylan W, headed out to the home. 

After Dylan arrived, he got right to work assessing the basement and trying to find the source of the leaking. Once Dylan completed his inspection, he met with the homeowner to give his recommendations. Dylan explained that the water was entering the home through cracks in the floor, and therefore, he wanted to address the situation with several of our products: WaterGuard, TripleSafe Sump Pump, and our AprilAire dehumidifier. Dylan elaborated, explaining that these products would work closely together to keep the basement dry. Any water entering the basement through the floor would immediately be caught by the WaterGuard, an award-winning below-floor drain that lays on top of the footing of the foundation to catch unwanted water, directing it to the appropriate disposal site, which would be the TripleSafe. Our TripleSafe is our most reliable sump pump, boasting three levels of protection for your basement. The TripleSafe has a powerful, cast-iron Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower sump pump set at the lowest level. For heavy volumes of water or in case of primary pump failure, a second, more powerful Zoeller® ½ hp pump set a bit higher in the liner will take over. Finally, Dylan said that even basements with effective waterproofing solutions can develop moisture problems. For this reason, he recommended the use of our AprilAire E100 dehumidifier. This powerful machine creates healthy air and can reduce the number of viable viruses in the air to less than 1% in two days when set to 50% relative humidity. The homeowner liked the sound of the approach and scheduled the job to be completed a few weeks later. 

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Lane, and his team ended up installing 136 ft of our WaterGuard around the perimeter of the space, along with 1 TripleSafe sump pump, and 1 AprilAire E100. Now our customer can enjoy his basement without worrying about water intrusion! 

Mike, a homeowner in Rothsay, MN, needed support for his home's basement space. The wall in the basement was failing and he could see daylight through the cracking mortar. To top it off, his back steps were consequently uneven due to the foundation issues. He decided to call American Waterworks and claimed his FREE estimate, entitling him to a thorough inspection of the issue. Our Design Specialist, Richie, headed to the property and did a full walkthrough, making sure to give recommendations based on how we can tackle the issue to prevent the basement walls from worsening. Once the entire inspection was complete and Richie had all the information he needed, he explained to Mike how we could help. Mike was excited to begin and see how we would transform the space.

Foreman Domenic and his crew arrived at the property soon after to get started. First, they ensured the area was cleared and prepped for work. Mike had decided to invest in our PolyLevel solution for his back steps; the product is an expanding polyurethane foam that is injected underneath concrete to fill the voids underneath the slab that were caused by soil erosion. Next, the team began installing our SmartJack system. Our SmartJack system is made to provide support for oversized or sagging beams, restoring stability and straightness. The team added one of our SmartJacks along the support beam of the home. Before installing the SmartJack, the production team dug a hole two feet deep. Then they backfilled the hole with engineer fill which is designed to dissipate the amount of force the SmartJack is experiencing. Finally, the team used seven of our GeoLock Wall Anchors along the north, east, and west walls to correct the issue and prevent it from worsening. This innovative system permanently stabilizes foundation walls by anchoring them to the hard-packed virgin soil beyond the foundation. The anchors can also be tightened over time. Mike was happy with the results of the project and grateful he no longer has to worry about the state of his home.

In Rothsay, MN, a homeowner noticed a musty smell coming from their crawl space. After noticing it was mold, the homeowner began looking into crawl space encapsulation services in the area and contacted us to schedule their FREE estimate.

In less than a week, our Design Specialist, Ian S., arrived at the home to provide a thorough inspection. During the inspection, he took a close look at the crawl space, determined the humidity levels, and worked closely with the homeowner to create a custom solution. To stop further mold growth and decrease the humidity levels in the crawl space, Ian recommended installing Drainage Matting, which would rest on top of the ground and is meant to direct any water in the crawl space to the drain system, and CleanSpace, our vapor liner that prevents water vapor from permeating the ground. After looking over the proposal and having confidence in our team, the homeowner decided to move forward with the project.

In about a month, our Foreman, Franklin O., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew successfully installed 135 sqft of Drainage Matting and 150 sqft of CleanSpace.
