Kim, from Crookston, MN began to notice a bow in the foundation walls of her home. The bowing of the wall resulted in the cracks that are caused within the foundation allowing water to seep through causing a wet basement.  Kim then contacted the Appointment Center here at American Waterworks expressing her major concern and claimed her FREE estimate entitling her to a full home inspection. Once the appointment was set our Design Specialist then attended her home and began a thorough home inspection to get a proper diagnosis of the situation and provide the best solutions to help Kim not only solve her issue but prevent any other issues from arising. Once the inspection was done, our Design Specialist recommended that Kim should invest in our PowerBrace Wall System.  Kim agreed with the solution and proceeded to schedule a date of installation.

Once set our Foreman, Cameron Phrakonekham, and his Crew began to strategically place PowerBraces around the basement, inserting a total of 6 PowerBraces to further stabilize the wall. The PowerBrace system is an I-shaped beam that stabilizes and helps straighten the bow of the wall over time. The PowerBrace system is drilled into the support beams of the home and the concrete, on which the home lies.

A homeowner in Crookston, MN, had grown concerned over the radon levels of their home after learning it was the second leading cause of lung cancer. Knowing they needed to take action, the homeowner took a radon mitigation test, where the results were above 4pCi/L. After seeing the results, the homeowner decided to contact our Appointment Center to schedule their FREE estimate.

In less than a week, our Design Specialist, Derek W., arrived at the home for the inspection. During the inspection, he took a close look at the layout of the home and worked closely with the homeowner on the best placement of our radon mitigation system. Once they agreed on a placement, the installation date was scheduled.

In about a month, our Radon Sales and Service Technician, Jackson P., arrived at the home for the installation. He installed a PVP pipe into the sump pump system and connected it to the radon mitigation fan that is installed at the exterior of the home to expel the radon gas. After the successful installation, he cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Phil and Robin G. of Frazee, MN were having water moisture and humidity problems in their crawl space, causing mold to grow. They did some research on our website and saw we perform work in crawl space encapsulation. They called our office to schedule a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Rick Weber. Rick went to their home to inspect their crawl space and come up with a solution. Phil and Robin were comfortable with Rick's proposal and presentation, so they got an installation date on the schedule. 

Our Foreman, Patrick Burnes, and his production team installed 735 feet of our CleanSpace Encapsulation. Our CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that stops moisture from passing through the floors and concrete walls. It transforms the crawl space into usable storage space and it also gives the space a neat and clean appearance. Phil and Robin were satisfied with the work and had a great experience!

Ron, from Eagle Bend, MN, was looking for some solutions for his late father's cabin space. The basement was experiencing water intrusion, and so he and his brother decided to call American Waterworks for a FREE estimate. Shortly after the appointment was scheduled, our Design Specialist, Kole, headed out to the property. 

Following a thorough inspection, Kole gave his recommendations to Ron, suggesting that they invest in our WaterGuard system. This particular system is typically used in basements and is the premier choice for basement waterproofing as it is installed below the floor, but rests atop the foundation, keeping it out of the "mud zone", making it harder to clog. 

Ron agreed, and our crew got to work.

First, Ou Foreman, Arturo, and his crew began implementing our WaterGuard System, which is a patented below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, its easy-to-access service ports, and its ability to collect leaking water from basement walls. The team then covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. 

The drainage system now properly guides water to the Super Sump Plus pump and from there, the sump pump pushes the water through the discharge line and expels it from the home. 

Finally, the team proceeded to install the CleanSpace wall System around the perimeter of the basement. Our CleanSpace Wall System is attached to the walls with plastic fasteners so it never falls.

After all was said and done, Ron was very glad he and his brother made the decision to call American Waterworks and had their peace of mind restored.
