Shane went to Jerome's home, inspected his basement, and determined the solution of our WaterGuard Below Floor Drain, CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier, TripleSafe Sump Pump System, and our Aprilaire Dehumidifier. Jerome was confident in all of our products and their warranties, so he got a date scheduled for the installation. 

Our Foreman, Lane, and his production team started the installation by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our crew installed our WaterGuard Below Floor Drain, which prevents water clogs and serves as an underground drain. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier, which prevents mold and humidity, and gives the basement a neat, clean appearance. Then, our crew installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System and our Aprilaire Dehumidifier. Our TripleSafe is the most efficient sump pump system that we have because of its triple layers of protection, and its ability to solve all three water problems in one unit. Our Aprilaire Dehumidifier creates healthy air and reduces the number of viruses in the air. To complete the installation, Lane and his team filled the open gaps in the floor with river rock and pea gravel and applied a new layer of concrete, ensuring the basement water neater and cleaner than when they found it. Thomas, a homeowner in Burtrum, MN, was having trouble with water in his basement. He wanted to figure out how to solve the problem thoroughly and effectively, so he called American Waterworks to claim his FREE estimate. 

One of our Design Specialists, Shane, went to the property, did a complete evaluation, and gave Thomas his recommendations. Thomas answered all his questions and gave our team the go-ahead to get started.

Our Foreman, Kiko, and his production crew started in on three main goals. First, the installation of our WaterGuard System began with breaking out the concrete floor perimeter and forming a trench. Our WaterGuard is a patented below-floor drain that rests in a drainage bed on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, easy-to-access service ports, and ability to collect leaking water from basement walls. Second, they installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System. The TripleSafe Sump Pump System has three levels of protection to solve all water problems a homeowner may experience.

Along with the TripleSafe Sump Pump is a battery backup that helps in cases where power is lost in a home. The battery keeps the pumps draining any excess water build-up. To complete the WaterGuard project, Kiko and his team covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. 

The team then proceeded to install the CleanSpace Wall System around the perimeter of the basement. This prevents humidity from invading the walls and gives the basement a clean and bright appearance, with a 25-year warranty. Our CleanSpace Wall System is attached to the walls with plastic fasteners, so it never falls.

A Hamburg, MN, homeowner was growing frustrated over a corner of her basement that was taking on water. He explained to the homeowner that American Waterworks could fix the issue with the help of two of our products. First, Eric wanted to use our CleanSpace vapor barrier. This 100% waterproof tarp-like material gets applied directly to the wall, and works to catch water entering the space through cracks and holes in the wall. The CleanSpace slowly directs the water down the wall and into our WaterGuard. Eric wanted to use our WaterGuard to catch water entering from the walls, as this below-floor drain works to direct water to the proper disposal site. This drain sits below the floor, on top of the footing of the foundation, but out of the mud zone, where other drains tend to clog. The homeowner liked the sound of the plan and scheduled the work for a few weeks later. 

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Kevin, and his team were able to install 59 ft of WaterGuard and CleanSpace throughout the basement. Now, our customer is thrilled to know she no longer needs to worry about a damp basement! 

A homeowner in Winger, MN, grew concerned regarding the crumbling foundation outside their home. Kole completed the in-depth inspection and determined the wall was deteriorating. To salvage the wall, Kole suggested the wall be restored with our wall restoration system. The homeowner agreed and the crew was assigned to complete the restoration. Our Foreman and his crew traveled to the home and began the preparations. First, they removed the deteriorated sections along the walls. Then, they installed wire mesh and wall recovered concrete walls to build them back up. The wall was smoothed to give a finished look. The homeowners were happy that their foundation wall was restored and the risk of failure was eliminated. American Waterworks is glad to stabilize another home's foundation.
