A homeowner in New Richmond, WI, noticed water in one corner of their basement. Unsure why the water was coming from one corner, the homeowner knew they needed an expert to provide them with a proper solution. The homeowner looking into "leaking basement corner repair" and began their search. After comparing several companies, only one stood above the rest, American Waterworks. After the estimate was finalized, we sent one of our Design Specialists, Dustin, to the home to take a look closer at the basement. Dustin began his thorough inspection of the basement and discovered there was a significant crack in the wall. Additionally, Dustin found that water was sneaking through that crack. Once he made this discovery, Dustin was able to determine the proper solution. Dustin recommended installing FlexiSpan in the corner. The homeowner agreed with Dustin's recommendations, so the proposal was sent to our Logistics team for the final stamp of approval. Once the project was confirmed, it was assigned to our Foreman, Diego, and his team to begin the project. Once the project date arrived, Diego and his team began the FlexiSpan installation. Once the Flexi Span was attached, the crew installed a small section of WaterGuard underneath the FlexiSpan. After all the products were installed, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know there was no longer a leak in their basement. A homeowner in Hampton, MN, noticed the wood on the ceiling of their basement was rotting. Concerned by this discovery, the homeowner wanted to have a professional inspect the status of the basement. The homeowner was searching for a professional to complete the inspection and came across us, American Waterworks. After going onto our website and signing up for their FREE estimate, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Mac. Once he arrived, Mac began evaluating the basement. Mac determined that the home's main level floors needed to be stabilized and came up with a recommended solution for the homeowners. After hearing multiple versions of the solution, the homeowners picked the best fit for their home. Next, the plans were sent to the assigned crew. Our Foreman, Victor, and his crew arrived at the home to begin production. The crew started by installing a main wood 6x6 beam across the center of the basement, to replace the rotting wood on the basement ceiling. Once the crew replaced the main beam, they placed five SmartJacks into the correct position. The SmartJacks reinforcement system provides solid support for sagging and undersized beams. After the crew successfully installed the SmartJacks, they cleaned up their site and moved on to their next project. The homeowners were happy to know their floors were professionally stabilized. Roger R. in Hastings, MN was experiencing cracks in the concrete slabs of his garage and two corners of his garage had started sinking. He also noticed a stair step like crack on the outside of his garage foundation wall. He realized it was time to get a professional to inspect the situation and go over what his options were. One of our Design Specialists, Mac Cole, went onsite to give Roger a free estimate. Mac discovered that his entire garage had started sinking and recommended that we install piers around the perimeter of his garage and wall anchors on the external side wall of the garage to secure the foundation. Roger knew how costly replacing the entire foundation could be, so he was glad to find a solution that would permanently repair the foundation.
Foreman, Hugo Sanchez, and his crew installed 15 piers underneath the foundation of the home and 4 wall anchors on the external wall to ensure that the foundation would be fully supported and permanently stabilized. Roger can rest easy knowing that he took necessary action to permanently stabilize and protect his foundation from failing.
