Jessica W. in Eden Prairie, MN had a sump pump in her basement, yet water was still seeping in. She was frustrated of dealing with a wet basement that was making the space dirty and unlivable. She started looking for a local waterproofing contractor, and she found American Waterworks’ website. She gave us a call to set up a free estimate, so we sent one of our Design Specialists, Chad Johnson, to her home to inspect her basement and to design a solution. Chad answered her questions and addressed her concerns. She was pleased with the proposal that Chad developed, so she decided to move forward with having our waterproofing system installed.
Our Foreman, Jesus Covarrubias, and his crew installed a full perimeter of our WaterGuard drainage system and a SuperSump sump pump system. The WaterGuard properly drains the water that is leaking into the basement to the sump pump. From there, the water is pumped through the discharge line and expelled from the home. Our waterproofing system is backed by a lifetime warranty, so Jessica has peace of mind that her basement will always be protected from water. She is glad she chose to invest in the long-term protection of her home.

Rebekah M. of Jordan, MN had a basement wall that was bowing and she wanted to get it repaired before it got any worse. She got in contact with American Waterworks and scheduled a FREE, no-obligation estimate. Our Design Specialist, Shane Nephew, went to Rebekah's home, carefully examined her bowing wall, and came up with a solution that would work for her and her home repair needs. After a thorough walkthrough, Rebekah was confident in Shane's proposal of our Wall Anchor System, so she scheduled a date for the installation.
Our Foreman, Raul Avilez, and his production crew began the installation by digging small holes beyond the foundation. Next, from the interior foundation, our crew inserted long, metal rods through the wall to each hole. In this process, each anchor is connected by the steel rod to a wall plate that provides pressure against the inside of the foundation wall. This process also gives it the potential to straighten back to its original position. To complete the installation, Raul and his team tightened each anchor, backfilled the holes, and ensured the soil was compacted.
At American Waterworks, we provide services in foundation repair, basement waterproofing, crawl space repair/encapsulation, radon testing/mitigation, and concrete repair/lifting. Call us today or click HERE to schedule your FREE estimate!
Dean D. in Good Thunder, MN contacted us when he noticed that he had two severely bowing walls in his finished basement. We sent a Design Specialist to his home to inspect his walls, develop the right solution for his situation and provide him with a FREE estimate. We recommended installing wall anchors because they would permanently stabilize and start to straighten his walls and it would be far more cost-effective than replacing the foundation. He liked our solution and enjoyed working with our Specialist, so he scheduled the installation.
In order to get to the block foundation, we had to remove the drywall. We excavated the soil around the sides of the home with the bowing walls. This helps up straighten the walls back to their original position. Then we drilled small holes through the block foundation walls into the soil. We inserted long metal rods, and once the rods were in place, we secured each end with anchor plates. We tightened the anchors as far as they could go, and the wall started to straighten. Dean's basement walls have been permanently stabilized with the installation of the wall anchors. He is glad he chose to protect the foundation of his home.

A homeowner in Albany, MN, discovered a large horizontal crack along the west wall. Knowing that it was not a good sign, the homeowner looked for a second opinion. After hearing many positive reviews, the homeowner decided to work with American Waterworks. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. After finalizing the appointment details, we sent out one of our Design Specialist, Ryan, to inspect the wall. The inspection concluded and Ryan discovered that the cause of the crack was due to the pressure of outside soil pressing on the wall. Ryan alerted the homeowners of the discovery and gave them his suggestions. After reviewing their options, the homeowners decide to utilize Ryan's suggestions. Our Foreman, Tremaine, and his crew traveled to the home and began repairs. First, the crew installed six Geo-Locks about five and a half feet apart. Once the Geo-Locks were put into place, the homeowners asked if a tightening kit was included. The crew showed the homeowners how to use the tightening kit and emphasized it would take some time. Once the crew finished, they cleaned the site and left the home. The homeowners were delighted that their wall was properly stabilized and would straighten with time. American Waterworks is happy to fulfill another customer's wishes.

Ben went to his home to inspect his concrete and come up with a solution. After a thorough inspection, Robert decided to follow through with the project.
These concrete cracks do not go unnoticed and they give moisture a way to seep beneath the slab, which allows the underlying soil to soften or wash away. To prevent that from happening, our Foreman and his crew member applied our NexusPro to seal the crack. Our NexusPro provides long-lasting flexibility and stands up to bad weather conditions. It also gives the concrete a neat and clean appearance.
