Mary and Gene of Laporte, MN, had sagging floors in a room in their lake house, and they wanted to get it lifted to prevent any further settlement. The couple decided to call American Waterworks to claim their FREE estimate. This entitled Mary and Gene to a free home inspection. Once the appointment was set, our Design Specialist, Ian, headed to the property and began a thorough home inspection to diagnose the house and propose a proper solution. Ian explained that the reason for their troubles was in part because the home was sitting on wood and suggested that they invest in our SmartJack system. Our SmartJack system is made to provide support for oversized or sagging beams, restoring stability and straightness. This system is also unique because it's made with strong, corrosion-resistant, galvanized steel, so rusting isn't a worry. Our Foreman and his crew went to the property and got to work. The team permanently stabilized the floors using 6 SmartJacks, 28 Joist Assist Brackets, and a 36-ft Supplemental Beam in the crawlspace below. Water was leaking into the Pine River Methodist Church causing water moisture, flooding hazards, and a funky smell. Management was confident in Chad's proposal and presentation, so they signed the contract, wrote out a deposit check, and got the installation project on the schedule. 

Our Foreman, Ryan Loe, and his production team began the repairs by taking back the carpet, and breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Drainage System, which is made to prevent water and mud clogs, collect water seepage from basement walls, and serve as an underground drain. Next, our team installed our CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier System around the half-wall perimeter. Our CleanSpace is made to prevent mold and humidity, act as an extra wall protectant, and guide water into the WaterGuard System. Lastly, Ryan and his crew installed our TripleSafe Sump Pump System in the corner. Our TripleSafe is the best sump pump we provide for homeowners, it solves all three water problems in one system, and it provides three layers of protection. To complete the installation, our crew covered and filled the open gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over it. GeoLock Anchor Wall SystemA homeowner from Alta Vista, MN had been keeping an eye on their bowing basement wall for a few years when they finally decided it was time to search for a remedy to the problem. After speaking with neighbors and friends, they decided to reach out to American Waterworks to see what they would be looking at. Once they scheduled their FREE, no-obligation estimate they were able to get a date on the calendar for one of our Design Specialists to come out to the home and conduct a thorough walkthrough. 

Once the inspection had been completed, our Design Specialist was ready to make his recommendations as to how to fix the failing wall. He informed the homeowner that the basement could benefit from the use of our GeoLock Wall Anchor System. He informed the homeowner that this solution has minimal disturbance of the home, and is designed to permanently stabilize foundation walls by anchoring the walls to the hard-packed virgin soil beyond the foundation of the home. He went on to say that after the installation is complete, wall anchors can be tightened over time to further straighten the foundation walls to pull them back to their original position. 

Our Foreman and his team ended up installing 16 of our GeoLock anchors throughout the space. Now our customer can enjoy their basement without fearing a failing foundation.
