GeoLock Anchor Installation in West Concord, MN

Rick from West Concord, MN got in contact with us when he began to notice that his basement wall was beginning to bow inward, showing signs of failing. He was afraid that if he left the issue unresolved, he would risk compromising the home's structural integrity. When he called in we set him up with a FREE estimate. Shortly after his appointment was scheduled, our Design Specialist, Mac, headed out to the property. Once he completed his walkthrough, he could make recommendations as to how we could help. Mac wanted to use our GeoLock Wall Anchors to correct the issue. He explained that this innovative system permanently stabilizes foundation walls by anchoring them to the hard-packed virgin soil beyond the foundation. He went on to say that the anchors can be tightened over time. Our customer agreed and work began shortly after.

Our Foreman, Hugo, and his crew installed 7 of our GeoLock anchors throughout the basement. When the work was done Rick was happy to know that his basement walls were no longer an issue.

Sinking Walkway Gets a Lift in West Concord, MN

A homeowner from West Concord, MN, got in touch with us when he realized that the concrete leading up to his front door was showing signs of sinking, slowly creating tiny trip hazards. The homeowner didn't want the issue to get worse; knowing that uneven concrete can be a hassle when shoveling or snow blowing. After doing research, he found our website. He decided to take advantage of our FREE estimates, and a few weeks later our Design Specialist, Will R, headed out to the home.

After Will completed his walkthrough, he informed the homeowner that he was right to contact us. Will informed him that sinking concrete is simpler and cheaper to fix right away rather than waiting. Will told him that we could fix the issue using our PolyLevel method. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that expands when injected below concrete slabs, filling voids left by soil erosion, and slowly lifting the slabs back to their original place. The homeowner agreed with Will's recommendations and the work was scheduled to be completed a few weeks later.

On the day of the project, our Foreman, Troy, and his team made quick work of the installation. When the job was complete, the homeowner was thrilled to know he had saved himself a headache when the first snow falls!

Leaky Basement Fixed In Sargeant, MN

Cara from Sargeant, MN noticed water coming into her basement at the base of the stairs. This was especially worrisome for Cara since she knew this could potentially damage her valuables. Cara contacted our Appointment Center here at American Waterworks and scheduled her FREE estimate with our Design Specialist, Rick. Rick headed out to Cara's property and began a thorough inspection of the home to obtain a proper diagnosis of the home and prevent any other issues from arising. Rick proposed that the best solution to the issues she was experiencing was to invest in our WaterGuard and TripleSafe Sump Pump SystemCara agreed with the proposal and scheduled the date of installation.

Our Foreman, Crescencio, and his production crew started the installation by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System. Our WaterGuard is a patented below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, easy-to-access service ports, and ability to collect leaking water from basement walls.

Next up was our TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which has three levels of protection to solve all water problems a homeowner may experience. Along with the TripleSafe Sump Pump is a battery backup that helps in cases where power is lost in a home, the battery will keep the pumps draining any excess water build-up. Once the job is done, the production team then places a new layer of concrete around the TripleSafe to provide a cleaner and more finished look.

To complete the project, our team covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete.

Cara was happy with the work and had a great experience with our production crew! If you are experiencing a similar issue, please give us a call and claim your FREE estimate today!

Bowing Wall Stabilized in Dayton, MN

A homeowner in Dayton, MN, noticed that his basement wall had been tilting inward and wanted to address the issue immediately. He began searching for "foundation repair near me" and found our website. After browsing our website, he was impressed with our 5-star reviews and decided to schedule his FREE estimate.

In a couple of weeks, one of our Design Specialists arrived at the home to conduct a thorough inspection of the basement. He explained to the homeowner that one of the common causes of foundation damage is hydrostatic pressure. When heavy rain or flood causes the soil surrounding the foundation to become saturated with water, the water puts pressure on the walls, impacting the stability of the home. To fix this issue, our Design Specialist recommended our GeoLock wall anchors. GeoLocks are designed to stabilize foundation walls permanently and can be tightened to straighten walls over time. The homeowner was grateful for our Design Specialist's explanation and decided to move forward with the project.

In about a month, our Foreman, Victor S., and his crew arrived at the home to install 5 GeoLocks. These are installed by digging a hole several feet away from the foundation. The earth anchor is then placed and attached to the interior wall. Both anchors are connected by a small steel pole that runs through the ground. After the crew was done with the installation, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Now, our customer can have peace of mind with his stabilized walls! Are you experiencing something similar? Click HERE and schedule your FREE estimate!

Dirt Crawl Space Encapsulated in Elkton, MN

Ron H. in Elkton, MN had a musty smell coming from his dirt crawl space. He also noticed that it was very humid and he was concerned that energy was being lost through the crawl space. He saw a commercial for American Waterworks and was interested to learn more about our crawl space encapsulation services, so he contacted us for a FREE estimate. One of our Design Specialists went to his home to inspect his crawl space and develop a solution. We were able to confirm that there was quite a bit of moisture accumulating in his crawl space which was causing the musty smell. We also confirmed that energy was being wasted because his crawl space was not insulated. We presented him with an encapsulation plan and he was pleased with the proposal, so he scheduled a date for the project.

Our production team installed drainage matting along the dirt floor and installed our SuperSump sump pump in the corner of the crawl space. Then, they encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace vapor barrier system which protects the space from moisture and potential mold growth. Lastly, they placed a SaniDry dehumidifier in the crawl space to control the humidity. The process took a couple of days to complete, but Ron now has a bright, clean and healthy crawl space. He is also saving money on his energy bill each month.
