Lee C. in Kenyon, MN contacted American Waterworks because he noticed the beams in his basement were sagging, he had cracks in the drywall, sticking doors, and unlevel floors. All of these are symptoms of a failing foundation and only get worse over time. Lee met with one of our Design Specialists, Dylan Woitas, who recommended he have our structural support jacks and supplemental support beams installed to stop any further deterioration.
Our Foreman, Austin Lucas, and his production crew got to work and installed 10 SmartJacks and supplemental beams throughout the basement to straighten and strengthen the sagging floors. Because of its design, the SmartJack can be adjusted over time to provide additional straightening and leveling action if necessary. Lee’s peace of mind has been restored, knowing he chose a permanent solution to restore the stability of his home.

A homeowner in Kenyon, MN, knew it was time to repair their water-damaged basement. After taking a closer look, the homeowner knew they needed a professional to provide them with a solution. After comparing several companies, the homeowner's eye was only caught by one company, American Waterworks. Impressed with our stellar sump pump lineup, the homeowner decided to go ahead and sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Dustin. A few weeks later, Dustin promptly arrived at the home and began the thorough inspection. During his inspection, Dustin confirmed that water was leaking from the bottom of several basement walls. To prevent these issues from occurring, the homeowner recommended installing several waterproofing products throughout the basement. Knowing this was their best action plan, the homeowner decided to go ahead with Dustin's proposal. Once the proposal was finalized, it was sent to our Logistics team to give the final stamp of approval. Our Logistics team built and scheduled the project, and then it was assigned to our Foreman, Lane, and his crew. A few weeks later, Lane and his crew traveled to the home to begin the installation. First, Lane and his crew started by installing WaterGuard around the basement perimeter. Once the WaterGuard was secured, the crew shifted to taking out the old sump pump. After the old sump pump was removed, the crew installed the TripleSafe Sump Pump. As soon as all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know they had one of the best sump pumps installed in their basement. American Waterworks is happy to provide its homeowners peace of mind knowing their basement is secure.
Greg H. in West Concord, MN noticed that his garage wall was pulling away from his home and it had created about a half inch gap between his house and the garage. He started looking into foundation repair options and he came across the American Waterworks website. He contacted us for a FREE estimate, so we sent a Design Specialist to his home to inspect his foundation and provide him with a solution. We recommended installing PowerBraces along the shifting foundation to halt any further movement and start to move the foundation back into place. Greg felt that our plan was the most efficient, durable, and cost-effective option, so he chose to move forward with the installation.
Our production team started the installation by securing brackets into the garage floor as well as the rim joists. Then, they installed the PowerBraces into the brackets and tightened them as far as they could go. PowerBraces do not require outside excavation so it is less invasive than other foundation repair options. The installation took a day to complete, but now Greg’s foundation is permanently restored, and he no longer is concerned about the stability of his garage.
