A homeowner in Circle Pines, MN, discovered water damage in their basement. Worried their basement was in serious trouble, the homeowner began searching for “basement waterproofing near me”. One of the first companies to catch their eye was us, American Waterworks, so the homeowner decided to take a closer look at our services. After seeing our five-star waterproofing services, the homeowner knew we were the perfect team to complete their project. Since they were already on our website, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Jesse. A few days later, Jesse promptly arrived at the home and began the detailed inspection of the basement. During his evaluation, Jesse confirmed the water was sneaking in through the basement corners. To prevent the issue from continuing, Jesse recommended installing several waterproofing products. Knowing this was their best plan of action, the homeowner decided to go ahead with Jesse’s solution. Next, Jesse passed the proposal to our Logistics team to finalize the details. Our Logisitcs team approved the proposal, then scheduled the project for a few months later. After the project date arrived, our Foreman, Francisco and his crew traveled to the home to begin. First, Francisco and his crew started by installing WaterGuard around the basement perimeter. Once the WaterGuard was secured, the crew shifted to taking out the old sump pump and replacing it with the TripleSafe sump pump. After the TripleSafe was secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was relieved to know their basement was no longer at risk of water damage. American Waterworks is happy to provide their homeowner peace of mind knowing their basement is secure.
A Falcon Heights, MN, homeowner was chatting with a neighbor one day when he learned that they had their home mitigated for radon gas. The homeowner didn't know much about the gas, but knew that if their neighbor had it, their home could be at risk as well. He decided to find a radon mitigation professional near Falcon Heights, MN, and quickly found our website. He was impressed with our other work in the area, and decided to sign up for a FREE estimate, and several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Kyle P, was headed out to the home.
When Kyle arrived, he began the process by placing a continuous radon monitoring test in the lowest level of the home. The purpose of this test is to gauge radon levels in the home over 48 hours, after which time our Design Specialist returns to the home and reads the average radon results. Once Kyle finished the rest of his inspection, he met with the homeowner to discuss a plan moving forward. Kyle began by saying that the homeowner was correct to worry about radon. Kyle elaborated, saying that radon is an invisible, odorless, colorless gas that is emitted during the breakdown of the soil surrounding a home's foundation. He went on to say that radon gas is radioactive, and has been linked to the development of lung cancer, claiming 21,000 lives annually. Kyle finished by saying that if the levels returned higher than 4 pCi/L, he would strongly urge the homeowner to install a radon mitigation system in the home, explaining that this system consists of a large-diameter plastic pipe that connects the air beneath your foundation to the outdoors. An in-line fan sucks radon-rich air from beneath your foundation and expels this hazardous air to the exterior. Instead of entering your basement or other living space area through numerous gaps and cracks in the foundation, radon gas is extracted from beneath your foundation before it can permeate into the interior space. The homeowner was happy with Kyle's honesty and transparency about the issue, and the two decided to discuss more when the results were in. 48 hours later, the results returned far higher than 4 pCi/L, and the two began discussing installation dates.
Several weeks later, our Foreman, Dakota M, and his team successfully placed our radon mitigation system within the home. Now, our customer can breathe easier knowing that the radon gas levels in his home are much lower!
A homeowner in Falcon Heights, MN, noticed the walkway to their garage was quite uneven. One of the first companies to catch their eye was us, American Waterworks. Impressed with our five-star ratings and reviews, the homeowner knew we were the ideal company for their project. Since they were already on our website, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of one of our Design Specialists. The Design Specialist arrived and began thoroughly inspecting the walkway and driveway. The Design Specialist discovered the sidewalk was settling, which was causing the sinking. To prevent the sinking from continuing, the Design Specialist recommended installing PolyLevel. Mardele W. in West Saint Paul, MN was suffering from water leaking into her basement and she was tired of cleaning up the mess every time there was a heavy rain. She decided to contact American Waterworks for a FREE estimate, so one of our Design Specialists, Jeremy Radtke, went to her home to inspect her basement and design a solution. Jeremy worked closely with Mardele to create the best waterproofing plan for her and her basement. She enjoyed working with Jeremy and was pleased with his proposal, so she scheduled to have our waterproofing system installed.
Our Foreman, Austin Lucas, and his crew installed a full perimeter of our WaterGuard drainage system around her basement floor. They also installed a SuperSump sump pump in the corner of the basement. The drainage system now properly guides water to the sump pump, and from there the sump pump pushes the water through the discharge line and expels it from the home. Our drainage system is backed by a lifetime guarantee, so Mardele has peace of mind that her basement will always be protected from water. She is glad she chose to protect her home for the long-term.
