A homeowner in Gelcole, MN, was doing laundry in their basement when they noticed a stairstep crack growing on their back foundation wall. Concerned that this issue would worsen, the homeowner decided to reach out to a professional to have the wall inspected. Not sure who they should work with, the homeowner tried to narrow down their choices using HomeAdvisor. After putting in their requirements, the first company on the list was American Waterworks. Once they saw that we listed the services they were looking for, the homeowner decided to call our Appointment Center and sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of Dylan, one of our Design Specialists. After Dylan arrived, he began inspecting the back foundation wall and discovered it was showing early signs of wall failure. Since Dylan discovered the source of the issue, he could come up with a suggested solution. To stop the wall failure from progressing, Dylan suggested ten Geolock anchors be installed on the north and east walls. Knowing this would stop the wall from further failing, the homeowner agreed with Dylan's suggestions. Once they received the okay, the plans were directed to Arturo and his crew. Arturo and his crew arrived to begin the GeoLock installation. The crew installed four GeoLocks on the north wall and six on the east wall. Once all the GeoLocks were installed, the crew cleaned up their site and left the home. The homeowners were relieved to know their wall was no longer at risk of failure. American Waterworks is happy to give homeowners peace of mind.

The homeowner decided to go along with Gary's plan, so they were directed to the production crew. Our Foreman, Raul, and his crew arrived at the home to begin production. First, the crew marked out where the PowerBraces will be placed. Then, the crew installed seven PowerBraces along the east foundation wall. A few weeks later, Eric H, one of our Design Specialists, was headed out to the home. When Eric finished his inspection, he met with the homeowner to deliver his recommendations. First, Eric recommended our CleanSpace vapor barrier, a 100% waterproof tarp-like material that gets installed directly onto the walls of the basement, functioning to direct water entering through the wall, downward, and into a perimeter drain, our WaterGuard. This unique French drain gets installed below the basement floor, atop the footing of the foundation, giving the water entering down from the CleanSpace, and coming up from the floor, a channel to flow freely to a pre-installed sump system. The homeowner was thrilled with Eric's explanation and solution and signed on the spot.
Several weeks later, our Foreman, Jesus C, and his crew were out at the home. At the end of the project, our team effortlessly installed 136 sqft of CleanSpace, and 136 sqft of WaterGuard. Now, our customer can breathe easy knowing her basement is properly defended against unwanted water!
