Concrete Lifting and Leveling in Minneapolis, MN

In Minneapolis, MN, a homeowner was experiencing an uneven walkway. Knowing the issue would continue without the right solution, the homeowner began looking into concrete repair in Minneapolis and found us. Impressed by our concrete repair photos, the homeowner contacted us to schedule their FREE estimate.

In less than a week, our Design Specialist, Gary S., arrived at the home for the inspection. During the inspection, Gary took precise measurements to see how far the slabs had sunken and determined which needed to be lifted. After reporting his findings to the homeowner, Gary highlighted the importance of a smooth and even concrete because if the issue is left untreated, it would lead to a trip hazard and a low curb appeal. To lift the slabs, Gary recommended using PolyLevel, our foam expanding solution, and NexusPro, our silicone-based sealant, to seal the joints. Happy that our products come with a warranty, the homeowner decided to move forward with the project.

In about a month, our Foreman, Troy J., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew was able to successfully install PolyLevel and NexusPro along the walkway and top driveway!

Sinking Concrete Walkway Gets Transformed in Minneapolis, MN

A homeowner in Minneapolis, MN, got in touch with us when he realized a piece of uneven concrete in his walkway was creating a trip hazard. Not wanting anyone to take a tumble, he decided to begin the hunt for a company that could help. After finding our website, he decided to take advantage of our FREE estimate, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Brad W, headed out to the home.

After Brad finished his walkthrough, he met with the homeowner to give him his recommendation. Brad informed the homeowner that American Waterworks could fix his issue using our PolyLevel lifting solution. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that expands when injected beneath sinking concrete slabs, filling voids left by soil erosion and slowly lifting the slab back into place. Brad finished by saying that we finished our lifting process by installing our NexusPro. A silicone-based sealant, NexusPro gets applied to cracks and joints in the concrete slab, preventing unwanted elements from getting below the slab. The homeowner agreed and work was scheduled to begin a few weeks later.

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Jordan S, and his team completed the lift with no complications. Now our customers can enjoy their concrete walkway, free of trips!

Radon Mitigation System Installed in Minneapolis, MN

A homeowner in Minneapolis, MN, was scrolling through social media when he came upon a post discussing the dangers of radon. He learned that radon is a by-product of uranium, which can be found in soil. As soil decays, it releases radon gas, which creates a high toxicity level in the air. Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer, second only to cigarette smoking. After learning this information, the homeowner went to his local convenience store to purchase a radon test kit. In a couple of days, the test results were above 4 pCi/L, and the homeowner quickly began searching for radon mitigation services in the area. The homeowner came upon our website and was impressed with our reviews. He contacted us and claimed his FREE estimate.

Our Design Specialist, Mitch S., arrived at the home, and the homeowner informed him that he had already tested the radon levels of his home and would like our radon mitigation system installed. Mitch understood and quickly got to work designing where the system would be installed. He explained to the homeowner that our radon mitigation system would be installed at the home's lowest level and consist of a large-diameter plastic pipe that would connect the air beneath the foundation to outdoors. The homeowner understood and agreed to his design.

In about a month, our Foreman, Dakota M., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They would drill a hole at the footing and place a PVC pipe, which would then connect the system that is installed outside of the home. This design tackles the radon-rich air by spewing it outside before it can reach the home. Once the crew was done with the installation, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
