Daniel and Mary F. had water leaking through the floor corners and insulation of their basement, making them worry about water moisture and mold build-up. They got in contact with our customer care team and set up a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Chad Johnson. Chad went to Daniel and Mary's home to inspect the problem and come up with a solution. They were comfortable with Chad's design and got all of their questions answered, so they moved forward with the project.
Our Foreman, Brian Colliton, and his production team began the process by cutting out the bottom of the wall insulation and breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System, which serves as an underground drain leading to outside the home, prevents water clogs, and collects water seepage from basement walls. To complete the work, Brian and his team covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete. Daniel and Mary were happy with the work and had a great experience!

Lisa G. of Hampton, MN had bowed foundation walls in her basement, causing her to worry about the structural build of her home. Our Service Technician, Mitchell Sobotta, was at her home for an annual maintenance and talked to her about our PowerBrace Wall Repair System for her foundation problems. She felt confident in the product and what it could do for her home, so she went ahead and scheduled an installation date.
Our Foreman, Spencer Garland, and his production team installed eight of our PowerBraces, which are steel beams that are made to keep bowing walls at bay. The PowerBrace System is designed to stabilize failing basement walls and provide the potential to straighten walls over time. Along with that, PowerBraces include a zinc-coating that protects it from corrosion. Lisa was happy with the repairs and was grateful she did not have to worry about further foundation failure.

A homeowner in Hampton, MN, noticed the wood on the ceiling of their basement was rotting. Concerned by this discovery, the homeowner wanted to have a professional inspect the status of the basement. The homeowner was searching for a professional to complete the inspection and came across us, American Waterworks. After going onto our website and signing up for their FREE estimate, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Mac. Once he arrived, Mac began evaluating the basement. Mac determined that the home's main level floors needed to be stabilized and came up with a recommended solution for the homeowners. After hearing multiple versions of the solution, the homeowners picked the best fit for their home. Next, the plans were sent to the assigned crew. Our Foreman, Victor, and his crew arrived at the home to begin production. The crew started by installing a main wood 6x6 beam across the center of the basement, to replace the rotting wood on the basement ceiling. Once the crew replaced the main beam, they placed five SmartJacks into the correct position. The SmartJacks reinforcement system provides solid support for sagging and undersized beams. After the crew successfully installed the SmartJacks, they cleaned up their site and moved on to their next project. The homeowners were happy to know their floors were professionally stabilized. American Waterworks is happy to help our customers make their homes more safe.
A homeowner in Cannon Falls, MN requested that American Waterworks check their crawlspace for the presence of Radon after reading up on the side effects of this toxic gas.
After receiving the news that their test came back at 8.4 pCi/L, the Shepards decided it was best to encapsulate their crawlspace with a vapor barrier known as CleanSpace.
The CleanSpace barrier will block most of the movement of radon from the soil into the crawlspace and our radon mitigation system will reduce any of the remaining presence of the gas that is entering through cracks in the foundation, plumbing, etc.
