Tyson C. in Walnut Grove, MN had three cracked walls in his basement. They had just started bowing and he knew it was only going to get worse. He heard an advertisement for American Waterworks on the radio and was happy to learn that we have successfully been repairing foundations for many years. He decided to give us a call for a FREE estimate, so we sent a Design Specialist to his home to inspect his foundation problem and design a solution. Tyson was pleased with the proposal we developed, so he decided to move forward with having us repair his foundation.
Our production team installed 26 wall anchors along the three walls. Rods are drilled through the brick walls and into the soil. Then, the anchors are secured with plates on each end of the rod. Once we tightened the anchors, Tyson was able to see a dramatic change in the stability of his walls. Our foundation repair systems are backed by a lifetime guarantee, so Tyson can rest easy knowing this foundation will always be secure.

A Walnut Grove, MN, homeowner had been aware that his basement was in trouble for a while. Over the years, the wall had begun to bow inward, and the water had begun to take on water during times of heavy rain. The homeowner knew that if he didn't do something about the problem wall, he could run the risk of compromising the structural integrity of the home or hindering the home from reaching its full resale value down the road. He began to look into MN foundation repair and quickly found our website. Impressed by our foundation repair jobs in his area, he decided to schedule his FREE estimate.
Several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Eric H, headed out to the home. Eric completed a thorough inspection of the home, and when he was done, he met with the homeowner to go over his recommendations. Eric commended the homeowner on seeking a professional's input on the situation. He went on to say that foundation walls are designed to withstand loads from above, not from the side. So when the pressure on the wall exceeds what it can withstand, it's not uncommon for the homeowner to observe cracking, bowing, sliding in at the bottom, and/or tilting inward at the top. He also referred to the unwanted water in the space as an issue and stated that his recommendations would address both problems. Beginning with the damp basement, Eric recommended our CleanSpace vapor barrier, a 100% waterproof tarp-like material that gets installed directly onto the unfinished basement walls. It works to direct unwanted water entering through the wall downward and into a perimeter drain, which, in this case, Eric recommended to be our WaterGuard. This unique French drain gets installed below the floor of the basement but atop the footing of the foundation. This placement keeps the drain out of the 'mud zone' where similar drains tend to clog, leading to a flooded basement. To perfect the waterproofing system, Eric recommended our TripleSafe sump pump, the most reliable sump system in our lineup. Next, Eric moved on to the foundation repair. He recommended our PowerBrace wall repair system. This system is designed to stabilize failing basement walls and provide the potential to straighten walls over time. These steel I-beams will stabilize the wall in its current position without any further adjustments. The PowerBrace system can be tightened to make bowing or tilting walls straighter and more vertical over time. The homeowner was thrilled with Eric's comprehensive plan. and the two worked together to find the best day for the products to be installed.
On the day of the project, our Foreman, Kiko P, and his team installed 126 ft of WaterGuard, 126 ft of CleanSpace, 1 TripleSafe, and 9 PowerBrace's throughout the basement. Now, our customer can breathe a bit easier knowing his unhealthy basement has been transformed!
Homeowners in Reading, MN had water leaking into their basement, where the wall and floor meet. They wanted to get an interior drainage system installed, so they had American Waterworks come out for a FREE estimate to inspect their water leaks. Our Design Specialist proposed our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain, which is an interior drainage system that prevents water and mud clogs and collects water seepage from basement walls. The homeowners were confident in the proposal, so they followed through with the project and scheduled a date for the installation.
Our Foreman and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. Inside the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Below-Floor Drain, covered the open gaps with river rock, and applied new concrete over them. Being that our WaterGuard is the most common basement waterproofing product that we provide for homeowners, the basement was dried up in no time, and the homeowners were happy with the work that was done!

Chris K. in Lucan, MN contacted American Waterworks because the sidewalk and walkway in front of his house had sunk several inches. It was creating a trip hazard, and Chris wanted a quick, and minimally invasive solution. He started doing some research online and was impressed with our PolyLevel concrete repair option. Our Design Specialist, Reed Hudson, met with Chris and proposed a plan to fix the problem areas.
Our production crew drilled small holes throughout the concrete slabs that needed to be raised. Next, they injected the foam into the holes until the slabs were raised back to their original position. They covered up the holes with concrete and then sealed the cracks in the concrete with our Nexus Pro sealant. Chris was impressed with the installation, and is glad he chose American Waterworks to restore his concrete!
A concerned customer called us when they began to notice water in the crawl space beneath their property. Our Design Specialist, Kevin, had a few recommendations to help keep the area dry. Along with sealing off the sump basket, he recommended that the customer invests in a suction point in the crawl space. Furthermore, he recommended that the entire crawl space be lined with our CleanSpace encapsulation, ensuring that the area would stay dry. The Foreman for the project, Dakota, completed the list of installations, and we have some happy homeowners!
