Wet Basement Gets Waterproofed in Saint Paul, MN

A homeowner in Saint Paul, MN, was experiencing major water issues and was concerned for his home. He knew his home needed expert attention, so he began searching for basement waterproofing services in Saint Paul, MN, and found us. After browsing our website and becoming impressed by our reviews, the homeowner knew we were the right company to choose, so he contacted us to schedule his FREE estimate.

In less than a week, one of our Design Specialists arrived at the home to conduct a thorough inspection. During the inspection, he noticed the walls had begun decaying, and there were many water leaks coming from the perimeter of the basement. To fix this issue, our Design Specialist recommended using ShotLock to restore the foundation walls, WaterGuard, to collect the water from the perimeter of the basement and send it to the sump pump, SuperSump+, our powerful sump pump system capable of removing 2,200 gallons of water per hour, IceGuard, our anti-freeze discharge line that allows water to escape in case the discharge pipes freeze, and CleanSpace, our vapor wall barrier that prevents vapor from permeating the walls. After looking over the proposal, the homeowner was confident in our products and decided to move forward with the project.

In a couple of months, our Foreman, Raul B., and his crew arrived at the home to remove the decaying walls and installed 184sqft of ShotLock to restore them. A month later, our other crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew installed 36ft of WaterGuard and CleanSpace, 1 SuperSump+, and 1 IceGuard. After they were done with the installation, the crew cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

CarbonArmor Foundation Stabilization in St. Paul, MN

We were contacted by Heather and Cory, two relators out of the St. Paul area, when they had a potential bid for a house, but needed to make some repairs to the foundation before the sale was complete. After contacting us, we set them up with our FREE estimate and sent our Design Specialist, Josh, headed out to the home to assess the damage. After his thorough inspection, he found that both the South and West walls were compromised and needed stabilization. Josh recommended our CarbonArmor solution, which is the cheapest and quickest way to stabilize block and poured concrete walls that show signs of bowing. Our CarbonArmor is a super-strong carbon fiber strap that is attached to the walls in question with epoxy. With their approval, our Foreman, Raul, and his team began the process of determining the best places for the straps. Raul and his team ended up placing 11 total CarbonArmor straps on the South and West walls. Now Heather and Cory can finalize their sale knowing the foundation of their home is stabilized!

Radon Gas Mitigated from Falcon Heights Home

A Falcon Heights, MN, homeowner was chatting with a neighbor one day when he learned that they had their home mitigated for radon gas. The homeowner didn't know much about the gas, but knew that if their neighbor had it, their home could be at risk as well. He decided to find a radon mitigation professional near Falcon Heights, MN, and quickly found our website. He was impressed with our other work in the area, and decided to sign up for a FREE estimate, and several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Kyle P, was headed out to the home.

When Kyle arrived, he began the process by placing a continuous radon monitoring test in the lowest level of the home. The purpose of this test is to gauge radon levels in the home over 48 hours, after which time our Design Specialist returns to the home and reads the average radon results. Once Kyle finished the rest of his inspection, he met with the homeowner to discuss a plan moving forward. Kyle began by saying that the homeowner was correct to worry about radon. Kyle elaborated, saying that radon is an invisible, odorless, colorless gas that is emitted during the breakdown of the soil surrounding a home's foundation. He went on to say that radon gas is radioactive, and has been linked to the development of lung cancer, claiming 21,000 lives annually. Kyle finished by saying that if the levels returned higher than 4 pCi/L, he would strongly urge the homeowner to install a radon mitigation system in the home, explaining that this system consists of a large-diameter plastic pipe that connects the air beneath your foundation to the outdoors. An in-line fan sucks radon-rich air from beneath your foundation and expels this hazardous air to the exterior. Instead of entering your basement or other living space area through numerous gaps and cracks in the foundation, radon gas is extracted from beneath your foundation before it can permeate into the interior space. The homeowner was happy with Kyle's honesty and transparency about the issue, and the two decided to discuss more when the results were in. 48 hours later, the results returned far higher than 4 pCi/L, and the two began discussing installation dates.

Several weeks later, our Foreman, Dakota M, and his team successfully placed our radon mitigation system within the home. Now, our customer can breathe easier knowing that the radon gas levels in his home are much lower!
