Sandra, from Forman, ND had started noticing water finding its way into her basement. She suspected leaky walls were the cause and wanted to fix the issue before there was any serious damage done. She researched companies in the area providing the services she was looking for and found our company. When she called in, she was able to take advantage of her FREE estimate, and a few weeks later our Design Specialist, Richie, headed out to the property to complete his inspection. Once he concluded, he was able to make recommendations as to how we could help Sandra. First, Richie wanted to use our TripleSafe Sump Pump to help relieve the basement of heavy water intrusion. He explained that our TripleSafe is our most reliable sump pump system, the TripleSafe Sump Pump System provides three levels of protection for your basement and your peace of mind. Richie also wanted to use our CleanSpace as he found that water was entering through cracks in the wall. He explained that the CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof tarp that gets tact to the wall and works to catch water entering through holes or cracks, directing it down to our WaterGuard. Richie's third recommendation. Richie went on to say that our WaterGuard is a below-floor drain that works to catch the water being redirected by the CleanSpace, leading it to the TripleSafe and keeping it off the floor of the basement. Sandra agreed with Richie's solutions and work began a few months later.
Our Foreman, Cameron, and his team installed 50 ft of our WaterGuard, 50 ft of CleanSpace, and 1 TripleSafe pump. Now Sandra can enjoy her basement without worrying about water intrusion!
A homeowner in Maddock, ND, knew it was time to repair their damaged basement. After looking into several options, the homeowner looked into "foundation waterproofing company near me". One of the first companies to grab their attention was us, American Waterworks, so the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE no-obligation estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Ian. When the appointment date arrived, Ian traveled ot the home and began the thorough inspection. During the inspection, Ian confirmed that the basement needed to be fully repaired. To prevent this issue from worsening, Ian recommended installing several waterproofing and foundation repair products throughout the basement. Knowing this was the best plan of action, the homeowner decided to go ahead with Ian's recommendations. Next, the homeowner worked with Ian to find the best installation date. When the installation date arrived, our Foreman, Aaron, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the installation. First, the crew secured WaterGuard along the basement perimeter. Once the WaterGuard was secured, the crew shifted to taking out the old sump pump and replacing it with the TripleSafe. Next, the crew attached PowerBraces and CleanSpace to the foundation walls. Jon, a homeowner in Fort Ransom, ND had sagging floor joists in his basement space, causing him to worry about the structural hold and stability of the home. After coming across our contact, he scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Richie. Richie went to the property to carefully inspect his problems and come up with a solution. Jon got all of his questions answered and was confident in Richie's presentation and design of the project.
Our Foreman, Zachary, and his production team installed 2 8' SmartJacks. The SmartJack system restores stability and straightens sagging floor joists and can be adjusted over time to provide additional straightening and leveling if necessary. Chad from Fort Ransom, ND was looking to have an active radon system with a fan added to his home. After scheduling his FREE estimate, our Design Specialist Ian headed out to the property. After his inspection, he expressed concern that the home might be subject to radon gas. He explained that this hazardous, invisible, and odorless gas was the second leading cause of lung cancer behind cigarette smoking. Chad agreed to have the home checked using one of our leave-behind kits. We set up the kit, and after 48-72 hours, it was sent in to obtain the results; these came back at 10.0 pCi/L. Ian explained that The Environmental Protection Agency recommends taking action for anything above 4 pCi/L. He went on to explain that 1 pCi/L of Radon is equivalent to smoking 2.5 cigarettes.
Ian suggested having a new extraction point installed to depressurize the home. He explained that once the system was installed, it would work to pull Radon from the house, pipe it upwards through venting, and push it out and away from the home. Chad agreed with Ian's recommendation, and work began shortly after. Our Foreman, Cameron, and his crew quickly and efficiently installed the system.
First, The SuperSump Plus was added with a Zoeller 1/2HP sump pump for more power. In addition to this, the plan was to add a discharge line that would ensure the radon went up and out of the house.
Our team connected PVC piping from the sump pump to the ceiling and out of the home, where our team installed the system. The mitigation system is the heart of the system; if it isn't working properly, no radon will be able to escape the home. Once they installed the system and its cover outside the home, they connected PVC piping from the system alongside the home until it reached the roof. The radon was able to escape the home quickly and efficiently. Chad was glad he got this taken care of, and his peace of mind was restored knowing he was breathing in safe air.
Jim, a home and landowner in Fort Ransom, ND, was having issues with the concrete slab under his grain bin. He was worried about how this would affect his storage and the safety of the structure. He looked around and called American Waterworks for a FREE estimate. Richie, one of our Fargo Design Specialist, went out to the property to have a look around the space and created a recommendation proposal for Jim. Jim got all his questions answered and felt confident in the plan, so we got to work!
Our Foreman, Charlie, went out with his crew and installed our PolyLevel lifting and leveling solutions. The crew started by installing injection ports over the gaps to guide the PolyLevel underneath the concrete. Then, our team injected the PolyLevel through the holes to get underneath the slab and fill the voids to raise and level the slab surface. Once that portion of the project was completed, our crew applied our NexusPro over the cracks to prevent moisture from seeping underneath and to give the concrete a neat, polished appearance. To complete the installation, our crew provided the resident with a thorough walkthrough of what they did and ensured the resident's expectations were met. Your concrete won't get better with time, but it will get better with us!
