After Worthington, MN, was rocked with numerous storms in a short period, a homeowner went down to his basement and was shocked to find water entering the space through corners of his basement. He was concerned about what his findings could mean for the health of his home, so he decided to begin looking for interior waterproofing MN, and eventually found our website. After looking through our basement waterproofing before and after images, he signed up for one of our FREE estimates, and several weeks later, Lance S, one of our Design Specialists, headed out to the home to see what could be done.
After Lance finished his thorough inspection, he was ready to meet with the customer to deliver his recommendations. Lance began by reassuring the homeowner that he had done the right thing by taking action as soon as possible. He then said he wanted to use two of our products to address the water intrusion. First, Lance wanted to use our CleanSpace vapor barrier. This 100% waterproof plastic barrier gets installed directly onto the basement walls, and works to direct water entering through holes or cracks in the basement wall down and into a perimeter drain, which in this case, Lance had recommended to be our WaterGuard. The WaterGuard® System is an award-winning, patented below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. By installing the drain at this point, it's kept out of the "mud zone", the point where clogged drains are common. The unique shape and large drain openings of WaterGuard® also aid in preventing clogs in the system. This drain works to collect the water draining down the wall from the CleanSpae, as well as the water entering through cracks or holes in the floor and gives it a channel to flow freely to a disposal site, such as a sump pump or discharge line. The homeowner liked the sound of the two products working together and decided to schedule the project for several weeks later.
On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Francisco, led his team through the installation. When they were finished, they had successfully installed 143 ft of WaterGuard and another 137ft of CleanSpace. Now, our customer can breathe easier knowing his water intrusion issues have been handled by professionals!

A homeowner in Worthington, MN, noticed that her water and home were taking a while to heat up. Unsure of the reason, the homeowner began researching and learned it could possibly be due to a poorly insulated crawl space. After learning this information, the homeowner decided to look into crawl space repair and found us. The homeowner then contacted us to schedule her FREE estimate.
In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Eric H., arrived at the home to provide a thorough inspection, answer any questions, and provide the best solution for the homeowner. During the inspection, Eric noticed that the moisture levels in the crawl space were higher than normal. He also explained to the homeowner that one of the common causes of crawl space issues is a dirt floor. A dirt floor does not separate the home from the earth, which causes insects, pests, moisture, and mold to easily enter the home. That is why Eric recommended CleanSpace, our vapor wall barrier that prevents water from permeating through the floor and the walls, Drainage Matting, our extremely durable matting that creates drainage space and thermal break between CleanSpace and the ground, Foamax, our advanced polyisocyanurate foam insulation panel that brightens the crawl space while helping control the humidity, and Aprilaire Dehumidifier. The homeowner happily agreed to Eric's suggestions and scheduled the installation date.
In a couple of months, our Foreman, Chris N., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew installed 1336 sqft of CleanSpace, 1178 sqft of Drainage Matting, 296 sqft of Foamax, and 1 Aprilaire Dehumidifier. After they were done with the installation, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

After seeing the extensive work we do, the homeowners felt American Waterworks was the best choice for them. The homeowners signed up for their FREE estimate and we sent our Design Specialist, Richie, to perform an extensive inspection of the entire basement and surrounding foundation. Richie explained that the home foundations needed to be stabilized, the concrete patio lifted and leveled, the basement waterproofed, and new basement windows installed. Although the list of repairs was overwhelming, the homeowners decided to go forward with Richie's recommendations.
Before the crew's arrival, they were asked to remove all personal items and the front deck and move their HVAC unit. First, the crew lifted and leveled the concrete with the Polylevel. The crew started by permanently stabilizing the foundation and its walls with 13 Geo-Lock Anchors and 39 Push Piers. Next, the crew removed the old basement windows and replaced them with three Rockwell Egress Windows. Moving along, the crew waterproofed the basement by installing the WaterGuard, a feed line, and the SuperSump Plus. After completing all the installations, the crew cleaned up the job site and went on their way. The homeowners were pleased to save their family home and that it is safe for years to come.
