Monica S. of Prairie Du Chien, WI had water leaking through the walls in her basement, making her worry about humidity and mold problems. She went to her local home show and came across our booth where she met our Design Specialist, Rick. Monica and Rick discussed her issues and Rick signed her up for a free estimate to get her basement looked at. Rick went to her home, carefully inspected and diagnosed the problems in her basement, and provided a solution that worked for her and her home repair needs. Monica was comfortable with Rick's proposal, so she went ahead with the project.
Our Foreman, Kiko, and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard Drainage System, which prevents water and mud clogs, collects water seepage from basement walls, and serves as an underground drain that works efficiently with the basement sump pump. Next, Kiko and his team installed our FoamMax Wall Panels around the wall perimeter. Our FoamMax makes the walls look clean and bright, reduces condensation, and provides heavy protection from moisture. To complete the installation, Kiko and his crew filled the open floor gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over them. Monica was happy with the repairs and had a great experience!

A homeowner in Prairie Du Chien, WI, saw water was beginning to pool near their home. Unsure of the cause, the homeowner decided to take a closer look at their stoop. The homeowner noticed their stoop was unleveled and was causing the pooling water. Wanting a professional to inspect the stoop, the homeowner looked into several concrete repair companies around them. However, one company stood above the rest, American Waterworks. Impressed by our concrete before and after project photos, the homeowner knew we were the company for them. After deciding to work with us, the homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the appointment was set, the homeowner awaited the arrival of Ross, one of our Design Specialists. Ross traveled to the home and started the detailed investigation of the concrete. Following his investigation, Ross determined the stoop needed to be lifted and leveled. Additionally, Ross suggested repairing the cracks on the stoop. The homeowner agreed with Ross' plan and the project was passed along for approval. Once approved by the office, they were sent to our Foreman, Sam, and his crew. Sam and his crew traveled to the home and started the project. First, they inserted PolyLevel, our polyurethane foam injection solution, underneath the affected concrete. Once the PolyLevel was inserted, the crew could shift their focus to filling the large crack near the front door. To fill the crack, the crew utilized NexusPro, a silicone-based solution. After the crack was repaired, the crew could clean up their materials and leave the home. The homeowner was glad to know that water was no longer pooling near their home. American Waterworks is happy to eliminate concrete sinking issues.
A homeowner in Prairie Du Chien, WI, recently learned of the dangerous health risk radon poses in households. The homeowner learned that radon is a by-product of uranium, a naturally occurring radioactive element that can be found in soil. As the soil decays, it releases radon and creates a high toxicity level in the air. Concerned that her family was unknowingly breathing in the toxic fumes, the homeowner decided to purchase a radon testing kit. After a couple of days, the results were above 4 pCi/L, which is the EPA's required action level for radon. The homeowner then found our website and contacted us to schedule her FREE estimate.
In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Michel R., arrived at the home for the inspection. Michel explained to the homeowner that radon is the second-leading cause of lung cancer, so it was good that she contacted us to install our radon mitigation system. Michel then created a design where our radon mitigation would be installed, and the homeowner agreed and decided to move forward with the project.
In about a month, one of our crews arrived at the home for the installation. They began by installing a PVC pipe into the footing of the home. The pipe is then connected to the radon mitigation system that is installed outside of the home. After the crew was done, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
Now, our customer can breathe in fresh indoor air! When was the last time you tested the radon levels of your home? Click HERE to schedule your FREE estimate today!
Lesley E. in Trempealeau, WI had 3 concrete slabs on her sidewalk up to the house that had become uneven and had started to chip. She wanted to find a non-invasive and affordable way to repair the concrete so she started researching contractors in her area. She came across American Waterworks and was interested in learning more about our PolyLevel foam concrete repair solution. She gave us a call and we sent one of our Design Specialists, Kevin McWithey, to her home to give her a FREE onsite estimate.
She was pleased to learn that PolyLevel is a faster and more affordable alternative to traditional concrete repair, while still being durable, so she set a date for the installation. One of our PolyLevel experts, Jared Wroblewski, drilled penny-size holes into the concrete slabs where he needed to inject the foam. He then injected the foam until the concrete was raised and leveled back to its original position. Lastly, he filled the cracks with our Nexus Pro sealant. The entire process took about two hours, and now Lesley can enjoy a level front porch and walkway for years to come!
