Doug S. in Altoona, WI was getting ready to sell his home, but he was concerned about the two cracked and bowing walls in his basement. He knew that if he did not repair the foundation, it would drastically reduce the value of the home. A friend recommended that he contact American Waterworks to help with his foundation problem, so he gave us a call for a FREE estimate. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Jeremy Radtke, to his home to inspect his foundation walls and to provide him with a solution. Doug was pleased with the thorough proposal that Jeremy developed, so they scheduled the installation of our foundation repair system.
Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his crew installed 10 wall anchors total (5 on each cracked wall). They drilled holes through the brick walls and inserted long metal rods. Next, they secure the metal rod with plates on each end. Took a full day, but our wall anchors are backed by a lifetime guarantee, so Doug has peace of mind that he chose the right solution to protect the foundation of the home. He no longer has to be concerned about losing value on the home because he took the appropriate measures to prepare for putting it on the market.

Jeremy, from Altoona, WI, got in contact with us when he noticed a crack in the foundation of his home was worsening over time. He was afraid that if he didn't fix the issue, water would begin to enter through the crack, causing expensive damage to his home. When he contacted us, he used his FREE estimate, entitling him to a 3-hour thorough inspection by a member of our Sales team. Our Design Specialist, Chuck, headed out to the property to inspect the damage and see how we could help Jeremy. Once Chuck completed his walkthrough, he recommended our helical piers to address the failing foundation. He explained that our helical piers have helical plates welded to the pier shaft, helping to pull the pier into the soil during installation and provide anchoring strength as the weight of the foundation or structural element is transferred to the pier. They have a great deal of versatility for stabilizing and restoring foundation or masonry elements. Chuck wanted to address any further structural issues with our GeoLock wall anchors. He told Jeremy that our GeoLock anchors are the ideal solution to permanently stabilize the foundation by anchoring the wall to the hard-packed virgin soil beyond the foundation of the home. Once installed, this system can be tightened over time if needed. Jeremy agreed to the proposed solution and work began shortly after. Our Foreman, Jose, and his crew ended up installing 10 helical piers along the Northern part of the wall. The crew installed 5 GeoLock anchors along the same wall and finished the job by sealing the crack forming in the foundation to keep unwanted water out.
When the work was done, Jeremy was happy with the work we had done and was relieved to know that his foundation worries were a thing of the past!
A homeowner in Altoona, WI, noticed that his walkway had begun settling, causing the step and area to become uneven. Knowing the issue would only continue to worsen, the homeowner began looking into concrete lifting contractors in the area and found us. After browsing our website and becoming impressed by our before-and-after photos, the homeowner contacted us to schedule his FREE estimate.
In about a week, our Design Specialist, Romeo V., arrived at the home for the inspection. He took a close look at the areas of concern and recommended PolyLevel and NexusPro. Romeo explained to the homeowner that PolyLevel is our elite foam expanding solution that, once injected, expands, causing concrete slabs to lift, and NexusPro is our silicone-based sealant with high flexibility and long-lasting durability that is specifically designed for joints. After looking over Romeo's proposal, the homeowner happily agreed and decided to move forward with the project.
In about two months, our Foreman, Sam K., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The crew began by drilling small holes into the slabs and inserting the injection ports. PolyLevel is then injected beneath the slab, filling in the voids and spaces in the soil, lifting the slab. Once the slab has been lifted to the desired height, the crew seals the holes. Lastly, they used NexusPro to seal the joints. After they were done, they cleaned up their work area, equipment, and left the home.

Gerald L. had a damp and musty crawl space. He was concerned about the air quality in his home and he was frustrated that he was losing energy through that space. While attending a local home show, Gerald visited our booth and spoke to one of our Design Specialists, Mac Cole. Mac assured him that we could solve his crawl space problem, so they set a time for Mac to provide Gerald with a free onsite inspection. Mac developed a thorough plan to permanently waterproof and encapsulate Gerald's crawl space. Gerald liked his proposal and felt we were a good fit for him, so he scheduled the installation.
Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his crew removed the debris and installed a SmartSump sump pump, drainage matting, TerraBlock, SilverGlo and CleanSpace. They also sprayed our foam insulation along the rim joists to finising sealing the crawl space from the outside and installed a dehumidifier in the crawl space to get rid of the musty smell and humidity. The combination of these waterproofing products created a clean, dry, and energy efficient space. We were able to ensure that Gerald’s crawl space would permanently be protected from water seeping in. Gerald is glad he chose to protect his home for the long-term.

Harriet C. of Mindoro, WI had water seeping up through the floor of her basement. She had a beaver system that she wanted to be replaced for something more reliable. She called American Waterworks and had our Design Specialist, Mac, out to her home to inspect her basement and determine a solution. Harriet was confident in Chad's proposal, so she signed the contract, put down a deposit, and got a date scheduled for the installation.
Our Foreman, Tremaine and his crew broke out the concrete around the pre-existing sump pump and replaced it with our TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which triples the protection, solves all three water problems in one unit, and comes with a battery backup in case of power failure. To complete the project, our crew filled the open gaps with river rock and applied a new layer of concrete over them.
Harriet was happy with the work and had a wonderful experience with our team!
