Peter K. in Dresser, WI had a dirt crawl space that was creating a musty smell in his home because of the moisture in that space. He also noticed that his energy bill was high and felt that energy was being lost from that space. He contacted American Waterworks to learn more about our crawl space encapsulation services. We sent a Design Specialist to inspect the crawl space and design the best solution. Peter was pleased with our proposal and moved forward with an installation date.
Our production crew removed the debris from the crawl space and installed the drainage matting and our CleanSpace vapor barrier system on the dirt floor and the sides of the crawl space. This helps to keep pests and moisture out, which reduces humidity. Peter was pleased with the result and is glad he can enjoy a stable, healthier crawl space for years to come!

A homeowner in Fayette, IA, realized it was time to schedule their annual maintenance appointment with us, American Waterworks. After checking the sticker on their already-installed products, the homeowner called our Service Center and set their annual maintenance appointment. Once the estimate was finalized, the homeowner waited for the arrival of one of our service technicians, Alex, to begin the inspection. Alex arrived at the home and began his thorough investigation of the products. During his inspection, Alex discovered the walls were struggling from cracks and needed to be stabilized to prevent further damage. Alex completed the inspection and presented his findings to the homeowner. Alex recommended stabilizing the walls using CarbonArmor and the homeowner agreed. Once the homeowner approved the plans, Alex passed them along to the office to build the project. After the office built the project, they assisted our Foreman, Raul, and his crew in completing the installation. Raul and his crew traveled to the home and began the installation. First Raul and his crew began the project by installing Carbon Armour along the north foundation wall. Once the Carbon Armor was installed, the crew ensured everything was cleaned up and products were set. The crew completed the installation, so they cleaned up all their materials and left the home. The homeowner was grateful for the excellent work completed by the crew. If you are due for your annual maintenance appointment, sign up for yours today!
Rick and Shirley S. of Baldwin, WI had cracked and bowing foundation walls in their basement. They found an American Waterworks advertisement in the newspaper so they scheduled a FREE estimate. Our Design Specialist went to Rick and Shirley's house, carefully examined their foundation walls, and proposed our Wall Anchor System, which is our most versatile foundation repair system because it solves a variety of different problems.
Our Foreman and his production team installed 16 of our anchors around the entire foundation wall perimeter. This anchor-rod installation is designed to stabilize cracked and bowing foundation walls while pulling the wall back to its natural position. Rick and Shirley were happy with the work and were grateful we were able to help them with their needs.

Justin from Baldwin, WI, had discovered water under his home's laminate flooring in the basement. They had ripped out the flooring and some of the wall to find three cracks in the foundation that had been repaired at some point, but were now letting water in. He wanted to discuss some foundation repair solutions with our team, so he called for a FREE estimate to understand our possible solutions. Our Design Specialist, Mac, traveled to her home to take a look around. Once he completed his walkthrough, he was ready to make his recommendation for a plan to transform Justin's basement into a healthy, clean space. He recommended the customer invest in our WaterGuard system. This particular system is typically used in basements and is the premier choice for basement waterproofing as it is installed below the floor, but rests atop the foundation, keeping it out of the "mud zone", making it harder to clog.
Foreman, Tremaine, and his crew, headed out and started making Justin's home a drier, safer place to live. First, our WaterGuard is a patented below-floor drain that rests in a drainage bed on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, easy-to-access service ports, and ability to collect leaking water from basement walls. The team then covered the open gaps with rock and replaced the concrete.
They then went to work installing our CleanSpace vapor barrier to address water Issues. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic barrier that gets installed right onto the problem walls, and works to catch water entering the space through cracks and holes in the wall. This also reduces the home's chances of being exposed to radon. The crew also used spray foam to seal and waterproof the homeowner's crawl space. Our spray foam is designed to keep the heat inside and prevent cool air from coming in. Justin was grateful for the support and guidance of American Waterworks in protecting his home! Adam from Baldwin, WI was experiencing some problems in his home. He was concerned about the foundation of her home due to water intrusion, so he contacted the Appointment Center here at American Waterworks to claim his FREE estimate. Once the appointment was set, our Design Special Darin attended to Adam's property. He began a thorough home inspection to properly diagnose the house and propose a proper solution that would help solve the issue and prevent other issues from arising.
First, Foreman Arturo and his crew installed our SmartJack system. Our SmartJack system is made to provide support for oversized or sagging beams, restoring stability and straightness.
Our Foreman and the production team then installed three of our SmartJacks along the support beam of the home. Once the SmartJack was set, the team installed the WaterGuard system. This particular system is typically used in basements and is the premier choice for basement waterproofing as it is installed below the floor, but rests atop the foundation, keeping it out of the "mud zone", making it harder to clog. It works to trap water and sends it to an appropriate disposal site, our TripleSafe sump pump, an effective and economical sump solution.
They then proceeded to use CleanSpace to encapsulate the basement to prevent moisture and mold to affect the rest of the foundation. The team finished by cleaning everything up, and Adam was thrilled and impressed with the project from start to finish!
