Amanda, from Appleton, MN was beginning to notice that one of her basement walls was beginning to bow, showing signs of wall failure. After he completed his walkthrough, he was able to recommend a solution to the problem. Ryan wanted to use our PowerBrace system to correct the failing wall. Ryan explained that this system is designed to stabilize failing basement walls and provide the potential to strengthen walls over time. He went on to say that this system can be tightened over time to make bowing or tilting walls straighter and more vertical.

A homeowner in Lamberton, MN was experiencing unstable foundation walls and water seeping into her basement. She had read about American Waterworks in the newspaper and decided to reach out to us. Shortly after she contacted us, our Design Specialist, Shane Nephew, went onsite to give her a free estimate. He developed a thorough plan to waterproof and stabilize her basement.

To waterproof her basement, we installed a full perimeter of WaterGuard which drains the water properly to the TripleSafe sump pump. We also installed Foamax wall insulation which creates a warmer, brighter basement while preventing wall condensation.

Jerry T. in Granite Falls, MN noticed that one of his garage foundation walls had a large exterior crack and it was bowing outward. He was concerned that the damaged wall was putting too much pressure on his foundation and did not want to get stuck in a situation where he had to replace the entire foundation. He contacted American Waterworks to receive a FREE estimate, so we had one of our Design Specialists, Jeremy Radtke, go to his home to develop the right solution unique to Jerry’s home. Jerry was pleased to hear that we could permanently secure his foundation by installing wall anchors, so he scheduled to have our foundation repair system installed.

Our production team started the installation process by drilling long metal rods into the soil underneath the garage floor and through the block foundation wall. They removed small rectangles of concrete from the garage floor where they would secure the other end of the rods. They screwed anchor plates on to the rods and tightened them as far as they would go. Lastly, they replaced the concrete in the garage and cleaned up. The process was quick and efficient. Jerry was very pleased with the results and is glad he chose to protect his foundation by having it permanently repaired.

Gene and Sharon B. of Granite Falls, MN had a wet basement, causing him to worry about damage to property and other water problems. They got in contact with our office staff and scheduled a FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Ryan Powell. Ryan went to their home, carefully inspected their basement, and drew out a plan that worked for them and their home repair needs. Our Foreman, Matt Zeller, and his production team began the project by breaking out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System, which prevents water and mud clogs, collects water leakage from basement walls, and serves as an underground drain. Next, Matt and his team installed our CleanSpace Wall Vapor Barrier around the entire wall perimeter, which is made to prevent mold and mildew, cover any holes or divots, and give the basement a bright and clean appearance. To finish the installation, our team filled the open gaps with river rock and applied new concrete over them, ensuring the space was cleaner than when they found it. A female homeowner in Davenport, ND had a damp and musty room in her newly constructed basement, and she wanted to get it waterproofed as soon as possible. She heard about American Waterworks, so she got a FREE Estimate scheduled with our Design Specialist, Richie Noreen. Richie went to the homeowner's house, inspected their basement, and proposed our replacement of concrete and our SuperSump Sump Pump System. Our Foreman, Cameron Phrakonekham, and his production team started the installation by installing our SuperSump Sump Pump System, followed by the discharge line. Our discharge line is designed to remove water from the sump pump. Since discharge lines should not be run into sewer systems, the only other option is to run them out into your yard. Cameron applied 136 square feet of concrete over the floor, which gives the basement a clean, finishing touch. To complete the installation, our team gave a thorough walkthrough with the homeowner and ensured all of her questions were answered.
