They knew it was time to schedule their annual maintenance appointment, so they called our Appointment Center to schedule theirs. Our Appointment Specialist scheduled their appointment, and sent one of our Service Technicians, Darin, to the home. Darin arrived at the home and began his maintenance investigation. After Darin checked on our previous work, he noticed that the homeowner's sump pump was run down and there were signs of water seepage. Darin notified the homeowner of his discovery and provided them with a recommended plan. Knowing we do excellent work, the homeowner agreed with Darin's suggestions. The plans were sent to our Foreman, Kiko, and his crew. Once Kiko and his crew arrived at the home, they began by installing the WaterGuard around the basement perimeter. The WaterGuard is an award-winning, patented below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage stone on top of the foundation footing. After the WaterGuard was secured, the crew took out the old sump pump and replaced it with the SuperSump+. The SuperSump+ is designed to keep basements dry and healthy for long periods of time. Next, the crew shifted to taking out the old sump pump and replacing it with the SuperSump+. Once all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. To waterproof her basement, we installed a full perimeter of WaterGuard which drains the water properly to the TripleSafe sump pump. We also installed Foamax wall insulation which creates a warmer, brighter basement while preventing wall condensation.

Jerry T. in Granite Falls, MN noticed that one of his garage foundation walls had a large exterior crack and it was bowing outward. He was concerned that the damaged wall was putting too much pressure on his foundation and did not want to get stuck in a situation where he had to replace the entire foundation. He contacted American Waterworks to receive a FREE estimate, so we had one of our Design Specialists, Jeremy Radtke, go to his home to develop the right solution unique to Jerry’s home. Jerry was pleased to hear that we could permanently secure his foundation by installing wall anchors, so he scheduled to have our foundation repair system installed.

Our production team started the installation process by drilling long metal rods into the soil underneath the garage floor and through the block foundation wall. They removed small rectangles of concrete from the garage floor where they would secure the other end of the rods. They screwed anchor plates on to the rods and tightened them as far as they would go. Lastly, they replaced the concrete in the garage and cleaned up. The process was quick and efficient. Jerry was very pleased with the results and is glad he chose to protect his foundation by having it permanently repaired.
