Nathan from Arthur, ND, was beginning to notice interior signs of foundation failure in his basement, in the form of cracks running down his wall. He was afraid that if he left the issue unresolved, he would run the risk of the issue worsening, compromising the structural integrity of the home. He decided to call our office and we set him up with our FREE estimate, entitling him to a free inspection of the issue, and recommendation as to how we could help fix it. A few weeks later our Design Specialist headed out to the property to see what could be done. After his walkthrough, our Design Specialist recommended raising the foundation with the help of our Push Pier system. He explained that this system is made of steel and is driven deep into the soil beneath a foundation to solve settlement problems. Push piers can be installed inside or outside your foundation walls and are not visible once the repair is complete. In many scenarios, push piers not only stop settlement but lift the foundation back to its original position, closing cracks and improving window and door operation. Nathan agreed with the recommendation and work began a few weeks later.
Our Foreman, Domenic, and his crew ended up installing 20+ push piers around the exterior of the home, connected to the foundation footing. Once the project was completed, Nathan was happy to know he no longer had to worry about his homes foundation!
A homeowner in Sherburn, MN, knew it was time to have the large crack in their foundation wall inspected by a professional. Not sure who to work with, the homeowner asked some friends for recommendations. Several of their friends recommended working with us, American Waterworks. The homeowner visited our site and was impressed by foundation repair services, so they decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. After the estimate was made, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Dylan. Once he arrived, Dylan began his detailed inspection of the foundation wall and basement. Following his inspection, Dylan determined that the foundation walls required permanent stabilization. Dylan also warned the homeowners if this goes unfixed, the wall will eventually fail. Wanting to solve the issue, the homeowner agreed with Dylan's recommendations, and the plans were sent to the assigned crew. Our Foreman, Juan, and his crew made their way out to the home to begin the project. First, the crew prepared the basement for the GeoLock installation. GeoLocks is our innovative wall anchor system that will permanently stabilize your foundation wall by anchoring your walls to the hard-packed untouched soil beyond your foundation. On the north wall, the crew installed five GeoLock anchors. Additionally, the homeowners requested to have the tightening kit included with the GeoLocks. The crew completed the installation and cleaned up their site. The homeowners were grateful to know their walls were no longer at risk of wall failure. American Waterworks is happy to give another customer peace of mind.

Jill S. in Sacred Heart, MN had a dirt crawl space that was creating a musty smell in her home because of the moisture in that space. She also noticed that her energy bill was high, and she felt that energy was being lost from that space. She contacted American Waterworks to learn more about our crawl space encapsulation services. We sent a Design Specialist to inspect the crawl space and design the best solution. Jill was pleased with our proposal and moved forward with an installation date.
Our production crew removed the debris from the crawl space and installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier system on the dirt floor and the sides of the crawl space. This helps to keep pests and moisture out, which reduces humidity. Then, they sprayed our spray foam insulation in the rim joists of the crawl space to completely seal off the space and prevent any pests or water from entering. Jill was pleased with the result and is glad she can enjoy a stable, healthier crawl space for years to come!
