Lane has been working for American Waterworks since June of 2017. His day to day involves being out on the road installing our basement waterproofing and foundation repair products systems, and helping his Foreman and other crew members complete the job. He enjoys working here because he likes the people he works with and he values the skills he is learning. In his spare time, he likes to hang out with friends, go hunting, hiking and fishing.

Marvin L. in Bangor, WI was tired of dealing with the water seeping into his basement. It was beginning to cause him stress, and he wanted a permanent solution. He contacted American Waterworks for a FREE estimate, and we sent one of our Design Specialists, Rick Weber, to evaluate the situation and propose the best, cost-effective solution for his home.
Our Foreman, Austin Lucas, and his production crew began the waterproofing project by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement and laying our WaterGuard drainage system. Next, they installed our recommended TripleSafe sump pump, which is backed by three levels of protection. Then, the crew installed our CleanSpace vapor barrier along the walls and our SaniDry dehumidifier to take care of any humidity. With our CleanSpace installed, any water seepage coming through the wall will be directed down into the drainage system. Our Foreman, Austin Lucas, and his production crew began the waterproofing project by removing the concrete around the perimeter of the basement and through the middle of the floor to create a trench for the 124 feet of our WaterGuard drainage system and for the feed line. Then, they installed spray foam in the rim joists and a combination of our ZenWall and Foamax Insulated Panels on the walls for the ultimate transformation and energy bill savings. The WaterGuard properly drains water to the sump pump and from there, the water is pumped through the discharge line and expelled from the home. Our concrete repair experts drilled small holes into the concrete to inject a polymer foam called PolyLevel. Once the foam is injected into the concrete, the foam expands and raises it. They injected the foam into multiple spots throughout the driveway and sidewalk until the concrete was raised and level to its original position. Then, they sealed the cracks with our NexusPro sealant to protect the concrete and give it a nice, finished look. Lastly, they used our SealantPro to seal the concrete, restoring quality and protecting against UV, weather, oil and water damage for 3 to 5 times longer than other concrete sealants. Patricia was pleased with the results and is looking forward to enjoying her newly restored concrete for years to come!

Vicky and David R.'s existing windows were rotting out and they wanted new ones installed so no draft would get into the basement. They had previous work done by American Waterworks before so they worked with our company again. Our crew replaced their windows with our EverLast Replacement Windows and our WellDuct Window Drains. Our EverLast Windows are vinyl-framed, double-paneled, and energy-efficient. Our radon mitigation specialists drilled a hole through the concrete in the basement to create a suction point for the gas. Then, a PVC pipe is inserted which goes up through the house and exits the home through the roof. A fan is installed at the top of the PVC pipe to ensure that the radon gas is being pushed away from the home. The installation took only one day to complete, and Josh is glad he took action to protect his and his family’s health.
