A homeowner in Mason City, IA, noticed their front walkway was sinking and settling. Worried this will become a tripping hazard, the homeowner began looking into "walkway lifting and leveling near me". One of the first companies to grab their attention was us, American Waterworks, so the homeowner decided to take a closer look at our concrete lifting services. Impressed with our concrete lifting and leveling services, the homeowner knew that we were the ideal company for their project. The homeowner called our Appointment Center and signed up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Nathan. A few days later, Nathan traveled to the home to begin the estimate. First, Nathan confirmed the walkway was sinking due to settlement. Additionally, Nathan determined the garage slabs were sinking as well. To prevent these issues from worsening, Nathan suggested lifting and leveling the sidewalk back to its original level. Knowing this was the best plan of action, the homeowner agreed and worked with Nathan to find the best plan of action. When the installation date arrived, our Foreman, Dylon, and his crew started by inserting PolyLevel below the sinking slabs. Once the PolyLevel was inserted, the crew shifted to replacing the joints and cracks with NexusPro, a silicone-based solution. Once all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their matierals and left the home. The homeowner was impressed with the excellent work completed by the crew. Brian from Mason City, IA got in contact with us when he began to notice that his front walkway was slowly sinking, slipping away from his front step. He was afraid that if he left the issue alone, he would run the risk of creating a dangerous trip hazard. When he called in, we set him up with our FREE estimate with one of our Design Specialists. Once the appointment was set, Brady headed out to the property to see what could be done to fix the issue. Once he completed his walkthrough, he recommended that Brian think of using our PolyLevel concrete lifting and leveling solution. He explained that this modern solution is an expanding polyurethane foam that is injected beneath the concrete to fill the gaps caused by soil erosion and raise and stabilize the concrete surface. Brian agreed with the recommendations and work began shortly after.
Our Foreman, Sam, began the process of lifting by strategically drilling holes into the concrete slab. Next, he injected the foam into the holes, making sure to closely monitor the lifting process as to not over correct the slab. When the job was completed, Brian was pleased to know he no longer had to worry about tripping on his front step!
