A Maple Grove, MN, homeowner was very concerned about her front walkway and steps. Over time, the concrete had begun settling and slowly sinking away from the adjoining concrete stairs. In addition, the concrete slab the stairs were placed on was also sinking, and formed a giant crack running lengthwise on the slab. Not wanting to sacrifice safety any longer, she decided to call American Waterworks on the recommendation of a friend. A few weeks later, our Design Specialist headed out to the home to complete the inspection. Once she completed her walkthrough, she met with the homeowner to give her recommendations.
She informed the homeowner that concrete sinking and settling can happen for a variety of reasons, but that American Waterworks could address the issue using our PolyLevel method. PolyLevel is a dense polyurethane foam that expands when it's injected beneath sinking concrete slabs. It works to slowly fill voids left by soil erosion and slowly lift the slab back into place. Our Design Specialist finished by saying that once the lift has been completed, our team will go in with our NexusPro. A silicone-based sealant, this product gets applied to the cracks and joints in the concrete to prevent water from getting below the slab to the vulnerable soil below. The homeowner agreed with the recommendation and the work was scheduled for some time later.
On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Ryan T, and his team were able to lift the stoop and seal the crack in the patio slab. Now, our customer is thrilled to know her front walkway has a refreshed look and newfound safety!

A homeowner in Maple Grove, MN, had noticed multiple signs of concrete damage, such as cracked and settling stairs, as well as a cracked and uneven driveway. He was concerned it would worsen and decided to look into concrete services in the area. He came upon our website and was impressed with our 5-star reviews and decided to schedule his FREE estimate.
In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Kyle P., arrived at the home and inspected the sidewalk, driveway, and front porch. He explained to the homeowner that one of the common causes of concrete damage is soil wash out. When it rains or floods, water moves through the ground under the concrete slab. It then washes away the supporting soil and eventually creates voids and gaps underneath the slab. Over time, the concrete begins to sink or cave in. It was for this reason that Kyle recommended using PolyLevel to lift the concrete, NexusPro to seal the joints and cracks, and SealantPro to protect the concrete. The homeowner happily agreed to Kyle's recommendation and decided to move forward with his plans.
In about two weeks, our Foreman, Jordan S., and his crew arrived at the home to install the SealantPro. Our SealantPro is sprayed over the concrete and initially comes on green to ensure it is applied evenly. However, once it is dried, it will be clear and is designed to protect the concrete from oil, water, and gasoline, preventing soil washout. Once this has been applied, Jordan and his crew cleaned up their equipment and left the home. In about a week, our Foreman, Sam K., and his crew arrived at the home to install the PolyLevel and NexusPro. The concrete is lifted by first drilling small holes into the slabs. Then, the injection ports are installed, and PolyLevel is injected, filling the space between the slab and soil. Once the concrete slabs have been lifted, the small holes are sealed with concrete. Lastly, NexusPro is used on the cracks and joints of the concrete. Once Sam and his crew were done with the installation, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
