A customer from Minneapolis, MN got in contact with us when he began to notice that his front walkway was sinking away from his front steps, creating a tripping hazard and pooling water. He was afraid that if he left the issue unresolved, he would risk worsening the hazard. When he called in we set him up with our FREE estimate. Once his appointment was scheduled, we sent our Design Specialist, Mike, out to the property to see what could be done. Once he had completed his inspection, he recommended that our customer think of using our PolyLevel solution to lift the walkway. Mike explained that our PolyLevel is an expanding polyurethane foam that is injected beneath the concrete to fill the gaps caused by soil erosion and raise and stabilize the concrete surface. Our customer agreed and work began shortly after.
Our Foreman, Ben, and his Co-Foreman, Jake, began the process of lifting the walkway by strategically drilling holes into the problem slab. Next, they injected the foam into the holes, making sure to pay close attention to the lifting process to avoid overcorrecting. Once the process was done, our customer was happy to know that he didn't need to work about tripping hazards in front of his home anymore!

In Brainerd, Minnesota a homeowner was watching his concrete walkway slowly pull away from his home. Worried that the concrete could sink further, and cause even more damage, he began to look into Minnesota concrete lifting. Through the recommendation of a friend, he called American Waterworks and booked his FREE estimate. Several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Greg G, was headed to the home to evaluate the issue.
When Greg arrived he began his inspection, paying close attention to areas of concern the homeowner had pointed out. When he concluded, he and the homeowner sat down to discuss his findings. To begin, Greg informed the homeowner that concrete can shift and sink for a variety of reasons such as excess water causing soil washout, extreme heat drying the soil out, or poor soil compaction when the home was built and concrete was laid. He went on to say that American Waterworks could address the concrete sink with our PolyLevel injection. PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that expands when it's injected beneath sunken concrete patios, sidewalks, driveways, and more. As the foam expands it pushes the concrete above back into place, restoring the look and value of your home without the mess and hassle of full replacement. Greg went on to say that, as added protection, he was recommending our NexusPro. This silicone-based sealant gets applied to the cracks and joints in the concrete once the lift is completed. It's specially designed to provide long-lasting flexibility and to stand up against harsh weather conditions. This means a single application of nexus pro sealant can protect is from the damage caused by soil and compaction and washout. The homeowner was thrilled to know he did not need to replace the concrete around his home, and signed up for the project on the spot.
About a month later, our Foreman, Bryce P, and his Co-Foreman were at the property lifting the problem slabs. When they had finished, our customer was pleased to know he no longer had to worry about uneven concrete dragging down home value!
