Challenge

A homeowner in Mason City, IA, noticed a musty odor around their home. Uncertain of the source, the homeowner looked into the possible source of the odor. After taking a closer look, the homeowner discovered it was coming from their crawl space. Worried this was a sign of a larger issue at hand, the homeowner knew they needed to find an expert to provide them with a proper solution. Solution

Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Brady. A few days later, Brady traveled to the home to begin the thorough inspection of the crawl space. During the inspection, Brady noted the crawl space was suffering from poor encapsulation. To prevent the issue from worsneing, Brady recommended repairing and properly encapsulating the space. Knowing this was the best plan, the homeowner agreed and worked with the homeowner to find the best installation date. When the installation date arrived, our Foreman, Raul, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the project. First, Raul and his crew started by removing the old encapsulation products. Once the old products were removed, the crew shifted to laying down Drainage Matting. Once the Drainage Matting was secured, the crew shifted to attaching CleanSpace to the basement walls and floors. Finally, the crew took out the old sump pump and replaced it with the SmartSump. After all the products were secured, the crew cleaned up their matierals and left the home.
