Shifting Garage Foundation and Floor Repair
Challenge
In Plymouth, MN, a homeowner had grown concerned about their garage because it was facing multiple issues: a buckling foundation and a settling floor causing cracks. Knowing the issue would worsen over time, the homeowner began looking into foundation repair and concrete lifting contractors and found us. Solution
In about a week, our Design Specialist, Jason S., arrived at the home for the inspection. During the inspection, he took a close look at the block foundation, noting the cracks and which areas needed stabilizing. Then, he examined the concrete floor, measuring how much it had settled. After reporting his findings, Jason worked on a custom solution to repair the garage floor and foundation. To secure the foundation, he recommended installing GeoLock, our wall anchor system that redirects pressure against the foundation away into the soil. To repair the garage floor, he recommended PolyLevel, our poly foam expanding solution installed beneath the slabs to effectively lift them, and NexusPro, our silicone-based sealant that is UV resistant to seal the joints and cracks. Happy with the recommendations, the homeowner decided to move forward with the project.
In about a month, our Foreman, Fernando P., and his crew arrived, and they successfully secured the foundation by installing 8 GeoLock wall anchors.
