A Young America, MN, homeowner was down in his basement one day when he noticed a large crack running the length of his basement wall. He was concerned since he hadn't noticed the crack a week before, thinking that the wall might be failing faster than he realized. He decided to find a foundation repair contractor in his area. Through word of mouth recommendations, the homeowner quickly found American Waterworks and signed up for his FREE estimate.
Several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Ryan P, was headed out to the home. When Ryan arrived he headed to the basement to get started. Upon completion, he met with the homeowner. Ryan began by saying that foundation walls are not designed to withstand pressure from the side, so when the pressure being put on the side of a wall exceeds what it can withstand, it's not uncommon for homeowners to see cracking, bowing, sliding in at the bottom, and/or tilting inward at the top. Ryan went on to say that our GeoLock wall anchors could reverse the issue, as this innovative system counteracts the pressure being put on the wall by anchoring the failing wall to the hard-packed, undisturbed soil beyond the foundation of the home. The homeowner liked the sound of Ryan's plan and scheduled the work on the spot.
Several weeks later, our Foreman, Chris N, and his team were in the basement installing the system. In the end, they installed 16 GeoLock anchors throughout the basement. Now, our customer can rest easy knowing his foundation is secure!

Phil H. in Belle Plaine, MN noticed that his back patio was sloping downward towards his home. Water would pool in the corner of the patio any time it rained, and he was concerned it was going to cause bigger problems, so he started looking into concrete repair. After asking around, a few people recommended that he contact American Waterworks to get a FREE estimate for concrete repair. He gave us a call and we sent one of our Design Specialists, Brian Ramirez, to his home to inspect his concrete and provide him with a solution. Phil was happy to learn that our PolyLevel concrete repair solution is more efficient and cost-effective than traditional concrete repair, so he chose to move forward with the project.
Our concrete repair expert, Jared Wroblewski, drilled small holes into the concrete slabs for the polymer foam to be injected. He injected into the foam until the slabs were raised back to their original position. Then, he filled back the holes with concrete and sealed the cracks in the concrete with our NexusPro sealant to protect it and give it a nice, finished look. The process only took a couple of hours, and now Phil can enjoy a beautiful, level patio for years to come!

A customer from Belle Plaine, MN got in contact with us when he began to notice his walkway leading up to his house was sinking, creating a sizable gap between the stair and the walkway. When he called in, we set him up with our FREE estimate, entitling him to a thorough inspection of the issue by one of our Design Specialists. Once the appointment was set, our Design Specialist, headed out to the property to assess the issue. When completed, he let our customer know that the reason the concrete was sinking was due to faulty soil underneath. He informed him that this could be due to excessive heat, water intrusion, or poorly compacted soil from when the home was built. He recommended the use of our PolyLevel injection to correct the problem. Our Design Specialist explained that this modern approach utilized an expanding polyurethane foam to raise the slab back to its original state. He went on to say that this method is far less invasive than alternative remedies. Our customer agreed and work began shortly after.
Our Foreman, Dylon, began the process by drilling strategic holes into the concrete walkway. Next, he injected the foam into the hole and closely monitored the lifting process, making sure the slab returned to where it should be.
Once completed, our customer was happy to know he had eliminated the gap and could go back to safely using his concrete slab!
