PowerBrace Installed to Stabilize Wall in Saint Joseph, MN

A homeowner in Saint Joseph, MN, had noticed staircase cracks had formed along her basement walls and was concerned they would continue to grow, leading to further instability. She looked into services in the area and came upon one of our ads on social media. She took it upon herself to browse through our website and was impressed with our "Before and After" photos. Soon after browsing our website, she decided to contact us to claim her FREE estimate.

Our Design Specialist, Daniel R., arrived at the home in several weeks and assessed the basement. He explained to the homeowner that one of the most common causes of foundation damage is hydrostatic pressure. Hydrostatic pressure is the pressure exerted by fluid. When the soil surrounding the foundation gets saturated with water, it puts tremendous pressure on the walls. Once the pressure exceeds what the wall can withstand, it is common to see bowing, sheeting, and cracks in the foundation walls. Due to this reason, Daniel recommended our PowerBrace. He explained to the homeowner that our PowerBrace is installed by first cutting the braces so that it fits the height of the wall. Then, the top of the brace is attached to a floor joist at the top of the wall. The crew would then straighten the brace and attach it to the floor. Alongside stabilizing the foundation walls, our PowerBrace has the potential to straighten the walls over time. The homeowner was grateful for Daniel's explanation and agreed to his suggestion. Daniel's plans were then sent to our Foreman, Diego B., for the installation.

In a couple of months, Diego and his crew arrived at the home. They installed a total of three of our PowerBrace. Once they were done with the project, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Nate B., arrived at the home to answer any questions the homeowner had and to conduct a proper inspection of the sidewalk. During his inspection, he also noticed that the front walkway had been uneven causing gaps to form along the joints. After the inspection, Nate created a proposal recommending PolyLevel to lift the concrete and NexusPro to seal the joints. After reviewing the proposal, the homeowner happily agreed and scheduled a date for the installation.

In about a month, our Foreman, Troy J., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They began lifting the concrete by first drilling small holes into the slab and playing the injection ports. PolyLevel is then injected beneath the slab. Our PolyLevel is made of expanding properties that it waterproof, highly durable, and long-lasting making it an effective solution for sinking concrete. Once the slabs have been lifted to the desired level, the crew uses cement to seal the holes. Lastly, the crew uses NexusPro, our silicone-based sealant that provides flexibility to withstand harsh weather conditions, to seal the joints. Sinking Walkway Lifted in Plymouth, MN

A homeowner in Plymouth, MN had an uneven sidewalk and was worried that it was a tripping hazard. She decided it was best to address the issue right away rather than wait, so she started searching for concrete lifting services in the area. She found our website and was impressed with our 5-star reviews and decided to contact us to schedule her FREE estimate.

In a couple of weeks, one of our Design Specialists arrived at the home to assess the sidewalk. He informed the homeowner that one of the common causes of a sinking sidewalk is soil compaction and settling. When a soil's load-bearing capacity is exceeded, the soil beneath the concrete expands and contracts, causing the concrete slab to sink and heave. For this reason, our Design Specialist suggested our PolyLevel to lift the concrete and NexusPro to seal the cracks and joints. The homeowner was grateful for his explanation and decided to move forward with the project.

In a couple of months, our Foreman, Troy J., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. The concrete is lifted by first drilling small holes into the slab. Then, the injection ports and installed, and PolyLevel is injected beneath the concrete slab. Once it has been lifted the crew will ensure that it is leveled before sealing the small holes with concrete. Lastly, the crew uses NexusPro to seal the cracks and joints. Once they were done, they cleaned their equipment and left the home.

Sinking Slab Lifted in Minneapolis, MN

A homeowner in Minneapolis, MN, had a sunken concrete slab at the front step of her home and knew that it impacted the curb appeal of her home. Knowing that the issue would continue to worsen, she decided to search for concrete lifting and leveling in the area and was directed to our website. Intrigued by our PolyLevel solution, she decided to contact us to schedule her FREE estimate.

In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Brad W., arrived at the home to provide a thorough inspection, answer any questions, and provide the best solution for the homeowner. During the inspection, Brad explained to the homeowner that one of the most common causes of settling slabs is soil washout. When it rains or floods, water moves through the ground and washes away the supporting soils, keeping the slab upright. As this continues, gaps and holes can be found in the soil, and the slab would begin to sink. For this reason, Brad recommended our PolyLevel, our waterproof foam expanding formula that accurately lifts sinking slabs, and NexusPro, our silicone-based sealant that provides flexibility and long-lasting durability. The homeowner was happy to move forward with the project and scheduled the installation date.
In a couple of weeks, our Foreman, Patrick B., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They lifted the concrete slabs by drilling small holes and inserting the injection ports. PolyLevel is then injected, filling in the empty spaces in the soil, causing the slab to lift. Once it is lifted to the desired level, the crew seals the holes with cement. Lastly, the crew sealed the joints with NexusPro.

High Radon Levels Mitigated in Richfield, MN

A homeowner from Richfield, MN, had just learned of the dangers that radon gas can pose to a household. Not wanting the invisible threat to be circulating through her home, she began looking for a contractor offering radon mitigation MN. When she found our website, she was impressed with our images of radon gas mitigation system we had installed in her area and decided to sign up for her FREE estimate. Several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Kyle P, was scheduled to stop out at the home.

When Kyle arrived, he began his appointment by placing continuous radon monitoring tests in the basement of the home. This test aims to record radon levels over a period of time, delivering the average radon level in the home. Kyle explained that if the test came back with a score higher than 4 pCi/L, he would recommend the installation of a radon mitigation system. Kyle went on to say that a typical radon mitigation system consists of a large-diameter plastic pipe that connects the air beneath your foundation to the outdoors. An in-line fan sucks radon-rich air from beneath your foundation and expels this hazardous air to the exterior. Instead of entering your basement or other living space area through numerous gaps and cracks in the foundation, radon gas is extracted from beneath your foundation before it can permeate into interior space. When installed by an experienced radon specialist, a radon mitigation system will lower the concentration of radon gas in your interior air to minimal levels recommended by the EPA. The homeowner liked the sound of Kyle's plan and vowed to wait until the results returned to make a choice. When the results returned sometime later, the levels were way above the recommended 4 pCi/L, so the homeowner called Kyle to schedule a date for the system to be installed.

Eventually, the day of the project rolled around. Our Foreman, Geno M, was able to lead his team through the installation of the system. Now, our customer can breathe a bit easier knowing her family is inhaling only the cleanest air possible.
