A Minneapolis, MN, homeowner was dealing with a leaky basement. Each time it rained, the homeowner was left with leaky basement walls and standing water. She no longer wanted to deal with the nuisance, so she began to look for Minneapolis basement waterproofing. After hours of combing through results, she found our website and decided to sign up for her FREE estimate. Several weeks later, Eric H, one of our Design Specialists, headed out to the property to see what could be done.
Once Eric finished his thorough inspection, he was ready to make his recommendations. First, Eric recommended the use of our CleanSpace. He explained that CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof tarp-like material that gets applied directly to the walls. It works to catch water entering through porous holes or cracks in the wall, directing it downward and into a perimeter drain. The basement lacked a drainage system, so Eric wanted to use our WaterGuard. Our WaterGuard is a French drain that gets applied below the basement floor, but atop the foundation footing, keeping it out of the "mud zone" where other drains tend to clog. The WaterGuard catches water running down the wall from the CleanSpace, as well as any water entering through the floor, and gives it a channel to flow to the appropriate disposal site, which in this case, was an already placed sump pump. The homeowner liked the sound of our products working hand in hand and decided to schedule her job for several weeks later.
On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Kiko, led his team through a flawless installation. Now, our customer can rest easy knowing her water intrusion issue has a reliable solution!

A new homeowner from Minneapolis, MN, went down to her basement after a particularly hard rain and was shocked to notice that she had standing water in several parts of her basement. Frazzled by her discovery, she quickly took to the internet to search for Minneapolis basement waterproofing. After a few hours of combing through different websites, she landed on our page. She was thoroughly impressed by our basement waterproofing before and after images and decided to sign up for our FREE estimates. A few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Derek V, headed out to the home. After conducting his inspection, he met with the homeowner to discuss his findings. Derek wanted to use several of our products to complement each other and most importantly, to keep water off the basement floor. First, Derek recommended our CleanSpace vapor barrier be installed on the leaky walls. Derek explained that our CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier that gets applied directly to unfinished basement walls, and works to direct water entering through the wall, downward, and into a perimeter drain, which, in this case, Derek wanted to be our WaterGuard. This unique French drain gets installed below the basement floor slab but on top of the foundation footing, keeping it out of the "mud zone" where similar drains tend to clog. Because the CleanSpace runs into the WaterGuard, it collects water entering from the wall, and small porous cracks or holes in the floor, giving the water a channel to flow to the appropriate disposal site. Derek noticed the lack of drainage from the basement itself and urged the homeowner to add one because of the large amount of water entering the space. Derek recommended our SuperSump sump pump, an effective and economical solution. This sump is engineered to help keep the basement dry and healthy for extended periods of time, even in times of heavy water intrusion. The SuperSump® includes a powerful Zoeller® ⅓ horsepower cast-iron sump pump, capable of pumping 2,220 gallons of water per hour at an 8-foot head out of your basement. Derek went on to say that the SuperSump can be installed with the optional UltraSump battery backup, which is designed to provide reliable, high-volume pumping capability when the electrical grid goes down. After Derek and the homeowner discussed options, she was thrilled to know that our solution would keep her basement dry and healthy for years to come and decided to schedule the installation for several weeks later.
On the day of the project, our Foreman, Kiko P, led his team through the installation with a breeze. When they finished, they installed 14ft of WaterGuard, 1 SuperSump Sump Pump, 1 UltraSump battery backup, and 24 ft of CleanSpace throughout the basement. Now, our customer can enjoy her largest investment knowing that it is properly protected from unwanted water!

A Coon Rapids, MN, homeowner had recently learned about the dangers of radon gas in a household. He was looking to have his home tested, so he decided to look for Minnesota radon specialists and quickly found American Waterworks. Impressed with our pictures of radon mitigation systems we had installed in his area, he decided to claim his FREE estimate.
Several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Dave S, was headed out to the home. When Dave arrived, the first part of his inspection included placing a continuous radon monitoring test in the lowest level of the home. This test works to record the levels of radon in the home over 48 hours, delivering an average result at the end. After Dave concluded his walkthrough, he met with the homeowner. Dave explained that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recommends taking action at any level higher than 4 pCi/L, and that if the test returned higher than that, he would strongly urge the homeowner to consider installing a radon mitigation system. Dave went on to say that a typical radon mitigation system consists of a large-diameter plastic pipe that connects the air beneath your foundation to the outdoors. An in-line fan sucks radon-rich air from beneath your foundation and expels this hazardous air to the exterior. Instead of entering your basement or other living space area through numerous gaps and cracks in the foundation, radon gas is extracted from beneath your foundation before it can permeate into interior space. When the process is completed by an experienced professional, a radon mitigation system will lower the concentration of radon gas in the interior air to the minimal levels recommended by the EPA and other health and safety agencies. The homeowner was pleased with Dave's evaluation and transparency about the levels in the home and ultimately decided to think about the problem and make a decision when the results returned. 48 hours later, Dave returned to the home to collect the results of the test. After discovering the levels in the home were much higher than the recommended levels, the homeowner decided to proceed with the project.
A month later, our Foreman, Dakota M, and his Co-Foreman, Mauro R, were out at the home installing the system. Now that the project is complete, our homeowner is thrilled to know that his home is circulating the cleanest air!
A homeowner from Saint Paul, MN, had noticed a draft in his home. Try as he might, he could not locate the source of the draft. After weeks of dealing with the issue, it occurred to him that the draft could be coming from the crawl space beneath the home. He took to the internet to search for the 'best crawl space repair near me' and quickly found our website. He signed up for his FREE estimate, and several weeks later, our Design Specialist, Nick S, was headed out to the home.
When Nick arrived, he wasted no time getting down into the crawl space. When he completed his inspection, he met with the homeowner to let him know the situation. Nick began by stating that the crawl space was certainly energy inefficient, letting cold and hot air in. Nick wanted to fix the issue with our TerraBlock floor insulation system. Nick explained that our TerraBlock is a durable, long-lasting insulation product designed specifically for crawl space floors to help combat these issues. Able to be installed on uneven floors, this product includes a white vapor barrier that will keep moisture from making its way up through dirt, stone, or concrete crawl space floors. It will seamlessly protect your home, keeping your energy bills low and preventing further problems caused by your crawl space from arising. Nick went on to recommend our Foamax Wall Insulation for the walls of the space. He explained that Foamax is a polyisocyanurate foam insulation panel with a white foil finish on the front and foil vapor barrier on the back. Finally, Nick recommended our CleanSpace vapor barrier, a 100% waterproof tarp-like material that gets installed directly onto the unfinished walls of the space, effectively sealing off the space from unwanted water, weather elements, and critters. The homeowner was thrilled with Nick's recommendations and signed on the spot.
On the day of the project, our Foreman, Diego B, and his team installed 110 sqft of Foamax, 100 sqft of TerraBlock, and 154 sqft of CleanSpace. Now that the job is completed, our homeowner is thrilled to know that his crawl space is functioning efficiently!

A homeowner in Saint Paul, MN noticed that his walkway in front of the steps had tremendously settled causing a bit gap between the slab and the step. After putting this project off for a while, the homeowner realized that it was time to get it fixed so he began searching for concrete lifting in the area and found our website. After browsing through our website, the homeowner was impressed with our 5-star reviews and decided to schedule his FREE estimate.
In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Canon T., arrived at the home to provide a thorough inspection and answer questions. During the inspection, Canon explained to the homeowner that one of the common causes of sinking concrete is soil washout. When it rains or floods, water moves through the ground and washes away the supporting soils keeping the concrete slabs upright. For this reason, Canon recommended our PolyLevel, a water-resistant polyurethane formula that allows for accurate lifting of the slab. Unlike traditional methods such as mudjacking, PolyLevel is efficient, cures quickly, and is cost-effective. After reviewing the proposal, the homeowner happily agreed and decided to move forward with the project.
In about a month, our Foreman, Patrick B., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They lifted the settling walkway by first drilling small holes into the slab and inserting the injection ports. Using an injection gun, PolyLevel is injected beneath the slab, expanding and filling in the empty spaces of the soil. This causes the slab to lift to the desired level and the crew would then seal the holes with cement. Once they were done with the installation, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.
Now, our customer can have peace of mind his walkway and front step is no longer a trip hazard! Are you experiencing something similar? Click HERE and schedule your FREE estimate today!
