A homeowner in Saint Michael, MN, noticed the crack in their wall rapidly grow. Worried about the long-term effects, the homeowner knew it was time to have the wall professionally inspected. The homeowner was overwhelmed by all their options, so they tried to narrow their search using HomeAdvisor. On the top of the list was us, American Waterworks, with a nearly perfect five-star rating. The homeowner decided to take a closer look and was impressed by our list of services. Knowing we would do a good job, the homeowner decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once the estimate was set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of one of our Design Specialists, Eric. After Eric arrived, he greeted the homeowner and started the basement inspection. Eric determined that the wall was rapidly failing due to hydrostatic pressure. Eric suggested it be permanently stabilized to prevent the wall from total failure. The homeowners agreed and production preparations began. Our Foreman, Luis, and his crew traveled to the home to begin production. First, the crew made sure the wall was prepared for the GeoLock installation. Then, the crew installed five GeoLock anchors on the east basement wall. Once the GeoLocks were secured, the crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowners were relieved to know their wall was no longer failing. American Waterworks is happy to provide another homeowner peace of mind.
Amanda R. in Hamel, MN had multiple sump pumps in her home that were unable to keep up with the amount of water seeping into her basement. We sent one of our Design Specialists, Shane Nephew, to meet with Amanda, inspect the problem, and propose a solution. Amanda was impressed with our products and Shane’s presentation, so she moved forward with the project.
Our Foreman, Tremaine Jackson and his crew replaced the existing sump pumps with our recommended TripleSafe sump pump, a SuperSump sump pump, and upgraded the pump in the remaining sump pump. Lee and Betty O. of Medina, MN had cracked concrete on their porch and wanted it repaired rather than replaced. After doing some research on our website and getting a hold of us for a FREE Estimate, our Design Specialist, Rick Weber, went to their home to inspect the problem and come up with a solution. Lee and Betty were content with Rick's concrete repair proposal, so they went ahead with the project.
Our Foreman, Troy Johnson, and his production team began the project by injecting our PolyLevel underneath the concrete to stabilize and raise it's surface. Next, our team applied our NexusPro on the cracks to prevent any further bubbling or cracking. It gives the concrete and nice, clean look and provides long-term flexibility. The work was completed within a couple hours, and Lee and Betty were able to use their concrete that same day! They were thrilled with the outcome.
Wajih from Hamel, MN, got in contact with us when they began to notice that a gap forming between their front stair and the concrete walkway leading up to it. They were afraid that if they didn't correct the issue, it would begin to worsen and the tripping hazard would get worse. When they called us, we set them up with our FREE inspection. After our inspection visit was scheduled, our Design Specialist, Jarrett, headed out to the property for a standard 3-hour inspection into the issue and what we could do to help. Once he completed his walkthrough, he made some recommendations as to how we could best help Wajih. First, Jarrett wanted to lift and level the concrete slabs using our PolyLevel injection. Then he wanted to follow up and seal the project with NexusPro to seal off any remaining cracks. The homeowner agreed and work began shortly after.
Our team, led by our Foreman, Dylon, began the process by strategically drilling holes into the problem slabs. Next, they injected the PolyLevel into the holes and monitored the raising process. Our PolyLevel is an expanding polyurethane foam that, when injected below concrete, fills the voids below the slab caused by soil erosion. Next, they followed the PolyLevel with our NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant for joints and cracks that is specially formulated to provide long-lasting flexibility and to stand up against harsh weather conditions.
When the job was complete, Wajih was content knowing that their concrete slabs wouldn't be sinking anymore anytime soon!
