He explained to the homeowner that it is common to see sinking concrete due to soil washout. When it heavily rains or floods, the water moves through the ground underneath the concrete slab. The water then washes away the supporting soils that are holding the concrete up. He informed the homeowner that this issue could be fixed using our PolyLevel to lift the concrete and NexusPro to seal the joints and cracks. Our PolyLevel is our most effective and long-lasting solution to lifting concrete as it is made of a high-density polyurethane formula that will expand in the voids and spaces underneath the concrete slab. In about a month, our Foreman, Sam K., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They lift the concrete by first drilling small holes into the slab. Injection ports are then installed, and the PolyLevel is injected beneath the concrete. Once the concrete slabs have been lifted and leveled out, the holes are sealed with concrete. Once they were done installing the PolyLevel, they began using NexusPro to seal the joints and cracks. After everything had been completed, the crew cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Randy, a homeowner in Shevlin, MN, was experiencing water in his basement due to cracked block work. He decided to look around for options on solutions and after his FREE Estimate with our Design Specialist, Richie, headed to the property for an inspection. Richie found that Randy needed solutions that addressed both water and foundation issues. Following the inspection, Richie made his recommendations and answered all questions, and Randy made an appointment to implement solutions.

First, our Foreman Raul and his crew broke out the concrete floor perimeter, forming a trench. In the trench, our team installed our WaterGuard System. Our WaterGuard is a patented below-floor drain that rests in a bed of drainage on top of the foundation footing. It is our most commonly used drain system because of its resistance to water clogs, easy-to-access service ports, and ability to collect leaking water from basement walls.

Next up was our TripleSafe Sump Pump System, which has three levels of protection to solve all water problems a homeowner may experience. Along with the TripleSafe Sump Pump is a battery backup that helps in cases where power is lost in a home, the battery will keep the pumps draining any excess water build-up. Once the job is done, the production team then places a new layer of concrete around the TripleSafe to provide a cleaner and more finished look.

Then, they installed a discharge line from the sump pump to our IceGuard System outside of the home. The IceGuard is a waterproofing system that provides an extra block of protection against basement flooding, especially when freezing temperatures are problematic. 

The team also installed 8 GeoLock Anchors by digging holes outside the home and installing a metal rod in each hole going through the foundation. After installing a metal rod they proceeded to attach one of the GeoLock Anchors to the end of the rod, allowing the wall to be pulled back to its original position.  Over time, these anchors may be tightened to ensure the rods are effective and stabilize the home's structure. After the installation, the production crew backfilled the holes and replaces the soil to its original look.

They then went to work installing our CleanSpace vapor barrier to address water Issues. CleanSpace is a 100% waterproof plastic barrier installed right onto the problem walls, and works to catch water entering the space through cracks and holes in the wall. This also reduces the home's chances of being exposed to radon. The crew also used spray foam to seal and waterproof the homeowner's crawl space. Our spray foam is designed to keep the heat inside and prevent cool air from coming in.

Randy loved the new and improved space and is happy that the foundation of his home is in no longer in any danger!

David, who owns a cabin in Shevlin, MN, noticed some issues with his basement space. Unfortunately, the block wall on the east side of the home was cracking and bowing. Our Foreman, Tanner, and his crew headed out to the cabin and got to work. The team installed 75of our GeoLock anchors throughout the basement wall. They discussed with David that it is recommended to use the tightening kit every 4-6 weeks and that we would be in contact in 9-12 months to schedule his 1st Annual Maintenance. At the end of the project, David was happy to know that his basement walls were no longer an issue.
