Sinking Concrete Stairs in Bloomington, MN

A homeowner from Bloomington, MN, was noticing a gap forming between their siding and concrete stairs. Not wanting the uneven concrete to cause any run-off water issues, she decided to get in touch with us to claim her FREE estimate, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Brad W, headed out to the home. Once Brad finished his inspection, he informed the homeowner that we could address the sinking concrete with our PolyLevel solution. Brad explained that our PolyLevel is a polyurethane foam that expands when it's injected beneath concrete slabs, filling voids left by soil erosion and slowly lifting the concrete back into place. He went on to say that we finish our lifting and leveling installations with our NexusPro. A silicone-based sealant, NexusPro is applied to all cracks and joints in the concrete to ensure that no unwanted element permeates the concrete. The homeowner agreed to the proposed work, and the job was scheduled for a few weeks later.

On the day of the project, our Foreman, Sam K, and his team were able to complete the lift and effectively redirect any unwanted water away from the foundation of the home!

Settling Porch Lifted in Bloomington, MN

A homeowner in Bloomington, MN was concerned when he noticed how badly his back porch had sunken causing the area to be a trip hazard, and decided to look into concrete lifting services in the area. The homeowner found our website and was extremely impressed with our before and after photos and decided to contact us to schedule his FREE estimate.

In a couple of weeks, one of our Design Specialists arrived at the home to answer any questions the homeowner had and to conduct a proper inspection of the concrete. During the inspection, our Design Specialist explained to the homeowner that one of the common causes of settling concrete is soil washout. When it rains or floods, water moves through the ground beneath the slab and washes away the supporting soils. Over time, this causes the slab to sink. For this reason, our Design Specialist recommended PolyLevel, a waterproof polyurethane formula that allows for accurate leveling of concrete slabs, and NexusPro, a silicone-based sealant that is both flexible and highly durable to seal the joints. After reviewing the proposal, the homeowner happily agreed to our Design Specialist's recommendation.

In about a month, our Foreman, Dylon V., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They began by drilling small holes into the slabs and inserting the injection ports. Then, PolyLevel is injected beneath the slab, expanding and filling in the empty spaces in the soil. Once the concrete slab has been lifted, the crew ensures it is level before sealing the holes with cement. Lastly, the crew used NexusPro to seal the joints. After the crew was done with the installation, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Egress Window Well Gets Upgraded in Minneapolis, MN

A homeowner from Minneapolis, MN, was in the market for an upgraded egress window. The previous window well had been handmade and was no longer up to code. Not wanting to sacrifice safety any longer, he began to search for a company that could help. When he found our website, he signed up for one of our FREE estimates, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Dave S, headed out to the home.

Once Dave completed his inspection, he met with the homeowner to discuss recommendations. Dave informed the homeowner that he was recommending the installation of our RockWell window well. He explained that RockWell offers an attractive alternative to ugly window wells while providing a safe, code-compliant basement egress. RockWell window wells are a one-piece, rigid construction that will not collapse from backfill or allow water to leak through the well walls. They’re UV stable, rust, and rot-proof, and stand up to extreme temperatures. Our egress window wells meet the IRC Egress Code Requirements, providing you and your family with a direct escape from any of the inhabited rooms in your basement. A polycarbonate safety cover keeps leaves and debris out while allowing natural sunlight and fresh outside air to enter your basement. While they are not intended for continual foot traffic, the 10mm fluted polycarbonate cover will hold up to 500 lbs. of weight and prevent family members from accidentally falling into the window well. The homeowner liked the sound of Dave's recommendation and scheduled the job for a few weeks later.

On the day of the installation, our Foreman, Francisco, and his team were able to replace the egress with no complications. Now, our customer can enjoy his basement space without worries of his window well not being up to code.
