A Rogers, MN, homeowner was preparing his home to put on the market. He was told by realtors that uneven or deteriorating concrete on the property could lower the resale value. Not wanting issues to arise during a sale, he decided to look for a MN concrete repair company. When he found our website, he signed up for his FREE estimate, and a few weeks later, our Design Specialist, Dave S, headed out to the home. 

After Dave concluded his inspection, he informed the homeowner that American Waterworks could address the sinking with our PolyLevel method. PolyLevel is a dense, polyurethane foam that expands when it's injected beneath sinking concrete slabs. It works to fill voids left by soil erosion, slowly lifting concrete back into place. Dave went on to say that after our team lifts the concrete, they will apply our NexusPro. A silicone-based sealant, NexusPro, gets applied to all cracks and joints in the concrete and works to prevent water from getting to the vulnerable soil below. The homeowner liked the sound of the plan, and the work was scheduled for several weeks later.

Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that has become the second leading cause of lung cancer. Naomi R. in Norwood Young America, MN learned that radon kills over 20,000 people each year and she realized that they had not had their home tested yet. Naomi had used us in the past to repair her foundation and had a pleasant experience, so she contacted us again to have her home tested for radon. One of our Design Specialists, Jeremy Radtke, went to her home to set up the radon test and give her a free estimate. The results showed that her home did in fact have high levels of radon, so Jeremy recommended that they have our radon mitigation system installed. Naomi was eager to have the system installed to protect their health and reduce their chances of getting lung cancer.

Our production team installed the radon mitigation system by inserting a PVC pipe through her sump pump which creates a suction point for the gas. The PVC pipe runs up the house and through the roof. There is a fan installed at the top of the PVC pipe to ensure that the gas is pushed out and away from the home. After each installation, we do a second radon test to ensure that the radon mitigation system is working properly and expelling the radon from the home. The second test reported that Naomi’s home now had significantly lower levels of radon. She is glad that her home is now protected from this harmful, radioactive gas, and that she took action to protect her and her family’s health.

Geoffrey P. of Norwood Young America, MN had water issues in his basement, as well as a cracked foundation wall. He did his research for local contractors and came across American Waterworks. He scheduled a FREE estimate with our Design Specialist, Eric Hazelton. Eric inspected Geoffrey's basement and proposed our WaterGuard Below Floor Drain, CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier, and our Wall Anchor System. Geoffrey was confident in the project, so he scheduled the date for the install. 

Our Foreman, Dylon VanCanneyt, and his crew installed our WaterGuard first, which is an interior drainage system that prevents clogs and has easily accessible water ports when it comes time for annual maintenance. Next, our crew installed our CleanSpace Wall System Vapor Barrier around the basement wall perimeter, which prevents mold and humidity and provides warmth to the basement. Lastly, our crew installed our Wall Anchor System which brings the foundation wall back to its natural position. Geoffrey said he no longer has any water in his basement and was very happy with the crew!

A homeowner in Norwood Young America, MN, was doing their laundry when their foundation wall was beginning to crumble. Uneasy about this discovery, the homeowners began searching for repair options. While researching, the homeowner came across our website. After seeing all the services we offer and great reviews, they decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. After finalizing the details, we sent one of our Design Specialist, Ryan, to survey the status of the wall. Following his survey, Ryan suggested that the homeowners install SmartJacks to permanently stabilize the home's floors. The homeowner agreed with Ryan's suggestions and the plans were sent to the assigned crew. Our Foreman, Matt, and his crew traveled to the home to begin the SmartJack installation. Upon arrival, the crew began by making sure the entire area was clear before installation. The crew installed eight SmartJacks around the basement. Additionally, a supplemental beam was installed between two of the SmartJacks to provide further stabilization. After the SmartJacks were fully installed, the crew cleaned up their job site and left the home. The homeowner was happy to know their floors were permanently stabilized. American Waterworks is happy to know another customer's home has been properly stabilized. 

A customer from Saint Francis, MN got in contact with us when he began to notice water entering an older well room of his home. He wanted to ensure that the foundation of his home was preserved and safe from water damage. When he called in, we set him up with our FREE estimate. Next, our Design Specialist, Jesse, headed out to the property to see what could be done. Once he completed his thorough inspection, he was able to make a recommendation as to how we could fix the issue. Jesse wanted to use several of our products, beginning with our CleanSpace vapor barrier. He explained that this tarp-like material works to trap water entering through cracks and holes in the wall, draining it downwards to our WaterGuard french drainage system. Jesse went on to say that this drainage system sits below the concrete of the floor out of the "mud zone" and traps water entering through the ceiling and cracks in the floor and drains it to the appropriate source. Next, Jesse wanted to use our SuperSump Plus sump system, to handle the customer's current water intrusion with the opportunity to expand in the future. Our customer agreed with the plan of action and work began shortly after. 

Our Foreman, Jeromy, and his crew ended up installing 14ft of CleanSpace and WaterGuard throughout the well room along with one SuperSump Plus system. Our customer is now happy to know his waterproofing issues are a worry of the past!
