A homeowner from North Dakota contacted us pertaining to a deteriorating wall. The couple was interested in moving and didn't want to run into any issues when trying to sell their home. The walls in question were stone walls that were crumbling and had concrete peeling. Our Design Specialist, Ian, concluded the best next step would be to install Wall Recovery on the portions of the wall that were compromised. Our Foreman, Cameron, went out to the property to install the Wall Recovery, which is sprayable concrete used to repair cracks, crumbling, and peeling concrete. Now the home is ready for new owners!
A customer from Jamestown, ND got in contact with us when they began losing sleep over a crumbling wall in their basement. Our customer knew that if he left the wall untreated he could run the risk of severely damaging the structural integrity of his home. When he called in we were able to set him up with our FREE estimate, which entitles customers to a thorough 3-hour inspection by one of our Design Specialists. Once the appointment was scheduled, our Design Specialist, Kole, headed out to the property to do his inspection. Once completed, he was able to make recommendations as to how we could best fix the issue. Kole wanted to use two of our products to address the failing wall. First, he recommended the use of our Helical Piers to take some of the load off the foundation itself. These piers are used to provide anchoring strength as the weight of the foundation is transferred to the pier. He explained that our helical piers can help lift settled foundations back to the original level and that they are the ideal pier for a lighter structure. Kole also recommended the use of our ShotLock system, which entails encasing our PowerBrace, rebar, and steel mesh behind 4-6' of concrete. The customer agreed and work began shortly after.
Our Foreman, Matt, and his crew ended up installing 5 of our helical piers along with 34 feet of ShotLock through the basement of the home. When the work was completed, our customer was relieved to know that he could rest peacefully knowing that the foundation of his home was stable and secure.
