A homeowner in Castalia, IA, saw that their walls were seeping water. Concerned this issue would worsen, the homeowner knew they needed to find a solution before spring. Unsure of the cause, the homeowner knew they needed to find a permanent solution. The homeowner investigated “weeping wall repair near me”. One of the first companies to catch their eye was us, American Waterworks. The homeowner took a closer look at our company and knew we were the best option for their home. Since they were already on our website, they decided to sign up for their FREE estimate. Once estimate details were set, the homeowner prepared for the arrival of our Design Specialist, Brady. Brady traveled to Castalia and began the thorough inspection of the basement. During his inspection, Brady confirmed that the basement walls were suffering from water intrusion. Additionally, Brady noticed the sump pump was acting off. Once he completed the inspection, Brady was able to provide the homeowner with a solution. After hearing Brady’s recommendations, the homeowner knew this was the best option for their home. Once the homeowner approved, Brady passed along the proposal to our Logistics team. Our Logistics team scheduled and finalized the project, then it was assigned to our Foreman, Matt. The following month, Matt and his crew traveled to the home to begin the installation. Matt and his crew arrived at the home to begin the waterproofing installation. First, Matt and his crew started by installing WaterGuard along the basement perimeter. Once the WaterGuard was secured, the crew shifted their focus to taking out the old sump pump and replacing it with the TripleSafe sump pump. After the TripleSafe was installed, Lane and his crew cleaned up their materials and left the home. The homeowner was impressed with the efficient work completed by the crew. Gerald L. had a damp and musty crawl space. He was concerned about the air quality in his home and he was frustrated that he was losing energy through that space. While attending a local home show, Gerald visited our booth and spoke to one of our Design Specialists, Mac Cole. Mac assured him that we could solve his crawl space problem, so they set a time for Mac to provide Gerald with a free onsite inspection. Mac developed a thorough plan to permanently waterproof and encapsulate Gerald's crawl space. Gerald liked his proposal and felt we were a good fit for him, so he scheduled the installation.

Our Foreman, Juan Pena, and his crew removed the debris and installed a SmartSump sump pump, drainage matting, TerraBlock, SilverGlo and CleanSpace. They also sprayed our foam insulation along the rim joists to finising sealing the crawl space from the outside and installed a dehumidifier in the crawl space to get rid of the musty smell and humidity. The combination of these waterproofing products created a clean, dry, and energy efficient space. We were able to ensure that Gerald’s crawl space would permanently be protected from water seeping in. Gerald is glad he chose to protect his home for the long-term.

To complete the project, our crew filled the open gaps with river rock and applied a new layer of concrete over them.

A homeowner in La Crosse, WI was concerned of the trip hazard that their sunken driveway has caused when entering into their home.  American Waterworks was able to raise the concrete slab back up to it's original position and the homeowner was absolutely thrilled.  

A homeowner in La Crosse, WI was looking to have her outdated wood paneling in her basement replaced with something a little more attractive and water resistant. As you can see in the before photo, the wood paneling and concrete walls do not go well together. And it looks like she may have previously had water damage in the area. 

American Waterworks replaced the outdated wall with our BrightWall basement wall panel system.  The BrightWall panels will work great in conjunction with her previously installed basement waterproofing system to keep her basement dry and comfortable. You can see in the after photo that the wall panels are durable, easy to clean and definitely brighten up her basement.
