A homeowner in Minneapolis, MN, noticed that his back porch had begun sinking, causing the slabs to lean on one side. Worried it would be a trip hazard and that it would get worse, the homeowner decided to address the issue immediately and began looking for concrete lifting in the area. The homeowner found our website and contacted us to schedule his FREE estimate.
In a couple of weeks, our Design Specialist, Romeo V., arrived at the home to answer any questions the homeowner had and to conduct a proper inspection of the porch. He informed the homeowner that one of the common causes for settling slabs is soil washout. When it rains or floods, water moves through the ground, underneath the slabs, and washes away supporting soils. As this continues, this leads to voids and gaps in the soil causing the slabs to sink. For this reason, Romeo recommended PolyLevel to lift the concrete and NexusPro to seal the joints. After reviewing the proposal, the homeowner happily agreed to Romeo's recommendations.
In about a month, our Foreman, Troy J., and his crew arrived at the home for the installation. They lifted the settling slabs by first drilling small into them and inserting the injection ports. PolyLevel is then injected beneath the slab, expanding and filling in the empty spaces in the soil. Once the slab has been lifted, the crew then seals the holes with cement. Lastly, the crew used NexusPro to seal the joints. After they were done, they cleaned up their equipment and left the home.

Margaret G. in Blaine, MN had a sidewalk leading up to her stoop that was sinking. She wanted to find an affordable, yet effective way to repair her concrete, so she started to look for a contractor to help her. She heard an ad for American Waterworks on the radio and was interested to learn more about our concrete repair solution, so she called us, and we sent one of our Design Specialists, Chad Johnson, to her home to provide her with a solution.
She was pleased to learn that PolyLevel is a faster, more affordable, and durable option compared to traditional concrete repair. One of our PolyLevel experts, Troy Johnson, drilled penny-sized holes in the concrete slab in front of her steps. He then injected the PolyLevel foam until the concrete was raised to be even with the steps. Lastly, he sealed the cracks in the concrete with our Nexus Pro sealant. The process only took about two hours, and now Margaret will be able to enjoy a raised and level front stoop for years to come.
