Following a heavy rainstorm, a homeowner in Spring Valley, MN, made a startling discovery: standing water in their basement. To prevent this issue from worsening, Nate recommended installing several waterproofing products. The homeowner agreed, then the plans were sent to our Foreman, Jesus, and his crew. On the installation date, Jesus and his crew traveled to the home to begin the installation. First, Jesus and his crew started by installing WaterGuard throughout the basement. Then, the crew took out the old sump pump and replaced it with the TripleSafe sump pump. Once all the products were installed, the crew cleaned their materials and left the home. Shannon G. in Oronoco, MN had a large crack in the foundation wall on the back of his garage. He knew that he would be taking a large risk if he chose to wait to repair his foundation, because it could fail at any time, and become a much larger expense. He started researching foundation repair companies when he saw an advertisement for American Waterworks. He decided to call us for a FREE estimate, so we sent one of our Design Specialists, Rick Weber, to his home to inspect his foundation problem and find a solution. Rick talked him through his options and he developed a plan that was the most beneficial for him. After meeting with Rick and getting his questions and concerns addressed, Shannon felt that we were the best fit for him, so he scheduled a date for the installation.

Our crew installed 4 wall anchors from the outside of his garage into the soil underneath the concrete in the garage. They drilled long rods through the brick until they hit supportive soil. They removed the concrete in the garage where they would need to put on the plates for the anchors. They installed the plates on either end of the rod and tightened the anchors. Lastly, they replaced the concrete and cleaned up their work area. The anchors secure and stabilize the wall. They continue to straighten the walls and can be tightened over time as the wall gradually moves back into place. Our Foreman, Dakota Merchlewitz, installed our radon mitigation system in less than one day! The U-tube manometer indicates the vacuum pressure inside the radon system. This will let you know if the radon fan is working or not. If the tops of the red liquid are equal, the fan may not be working or may have been turned off. The U-tube is designed to indicate that the system is actually on and at what pressure. Only a radon test can indicate the levels of radon.
