A female homeowner in Valley City, ND had basement waterproofing already completed in her basement, and she also needed her foundation repaired. Our Design Specialist, Ian Schultz, recommended our Wall Anchor System, which is designed to straighten the walls without the cost and disruption of foundation replacement. The homeowner was confident in Ian's proposal, so she signed his contract and moved forward with the project.
Our Foreman, Ryan Loe, and his production team started the installation by digging small holes beyond the foundation wall and inserting a long, metal rod from the interior foundation to each hole outside of the home. At the ends of each rod, our team installed a wall anchor on the interior side and an anchor plate on the exterior side. Wall anchors are the most versatile wall repair method because they can be used to stabilize walls with a variety of problems, such as bowing and tipping walls, and walls that are pushing in. To complete the installation, our tram backfilled each hole and compacted the soil, ensuring the yard was cleaner than when they found it.

Our CleanSpace is a vapor barrier that prevents water from seeping through the walls and saves money on energy costs. Our TrenchLock is a system that blocks unwanted ground air and gasses from entering the basement. Lastly, our crew applied new concrete over the broken-out concrete to ensure the basement was neater and cleaner than they found it.

A couple from Valley City, ND got in contact with us when they decided they wanted to get their house tested for Radon gas. Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that has become the second leading cause of lung cancer, second only to cigarette smoke. The couple knew that testing for the dangerous gas was incredibly important. When they called in, we set them up with our FREE estimate, entitling them to a thorough inspection of the issue by one of our Design Specialists. Once the appointment had been set, our Design Specialist from our Fargo branch, Kole, headed out to the property. When he arrived, he informed the homeowners that he would be leaving a charcoal test behind for 48 hours. He went on to say that the test would sit in the home and at the end of the 48 hours, would be able to tell the levels of Radon in the home. Once the 48 hours was up, the couple sent their test out, and it came back measuring 7.9 pCi/L. Kole informed the couple that the World Health Organization recommends taking action to fight Radon at a 2.7 as 1pCi/L of Radon is equal to 2.5 cigarettes smoked a day. Kole recommended that the couple looks into installing a Radon Mitigation System in the home. He explained that this system works to pull Radon from the home and then pipe it up and outwards from the home. The couple quickly agreed and work began shortly after.
Our Fargo-based Foreman, CJ, and his crew worked quickly and efficiently to install the new system in the home. Once work was complete, the couple was relieved to know that their Radon issue had been addressed and dealt with.

Our Foreman, Cole Brinkman, and his production team began the installation by digging five holes outside of the home beyond the foundation. Next, our team inserted a long, metal rod from the inside foundation to each hole outside of the home. On the ends of each rod, our team tightened and secured a GeoLock Wall Anchor. This wall anchor system will permanently stabilize foundation walls by anchoring the walls to the hard-packed, compact soil. After installation, wall anchors can be tightened over time to further straighten the foundation wall. To complete the project, our team backfilled the holes and replaced the soil, leaving the yard looking neater than when they found it. Josh was very happy with the final product!
