When the day of the installation rolled around, our Foreman, Kevin M, and his crew got right to work. They started with our smartjack support system, an adjustable supplemental support system specially used to address sagging floors caused by failing crawl spaces. Next, they removed excess dirt from the area, and followed this step by laying down our drainage matting. This dimpled matting gives water entering the crawl space a channel to flow freely to a disposal site, which in this case Ryan had recommended to be our SmartDrain. This drain works to remove excess water from crawl spaces, keeping the home healthy and dry for years to come. Finally, Kevin laid down our CleanSpace vapor barrier, a 100% waterproof plastic vapor barrier with something called UltraFresh, an antimicrobial coating, built in.
